Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

I am at that. I met one of the most interesting women not long ago. Tall, red hair, teeth like a shark, she was kind enough to provide an alternate outfit for the evening. [She gestures to the layered skirt, shrug, and heels she was wearing.]

Sharks teeth and red hair? Thats...different. And that is a good look for you. A bit different from your usual attire, but its nice.

Thank you Luke. [A soft smile as she looks out over the New Feathers.] So many young people this cycle.

Nothing wrong with that. The place would be drab if it was populated entirely by folks my age and older.

I am more concerned about the rashness of youth, and how them living here will change them. This is no place for children or teenagers Luke.

Oh? I don't know. It also gives them a chance to grow and learn. The experiments aside, there are lots of people here who I'm glad to have met.

Only to forget it all once you return to your world. [No, that was bitter. Quit it. She sighs and shakes her head.] For as long as they are here? I hope it is to their benefit.

Who knows, there are rumors of people remembering at home. Dreams, and things.

I have heard the same; but. I do not know if they would think anything of them afterward. Dreams are strange and fickle beasts, yes?

True, though we have a good deal more control than we think I believe. There are meditative techniques that draw them out. I wonder if I'm home someday, and I'll accidentally stumble on memories of this place.

I do not know what you could manage from your own world, even if you remembered.

No no. I just think that perhaps...with the proper memories and application of the proper technology...something could be done about all this.

On the outside breaking in; to let the rest run free. [She looks back over to Luke, brow quirked.] You think you might could manage it.

With the Force as my ally? Of course. [Not to mention the Republic? Han, Kyle, Wedge? With a squadron of X-Wings and the Falcon?]

I simply cannot help but wonder at the repercussions of finding your way back here. Of what it could mean for this place, beyond those that live in the village. It would be something to hope for, amazing should it be achieved; but. [There was almost always a but.]

At what price? Nothing like that would come easily. Nothing like that would come without cost.

Price? What price isn't worth doing the right thing? Captivity here is wrong. And the benefits of doing so would be interesting to the Republic if it could be achieved. Conduits to other realities?

It'd be worth any price to help a friend.

[And what is it she could say to that? Space travel, dimension hopping, the fact that time could be knotted up beyond recognition by such a thing was beyond her ability to express. As she'd said. He was a Jedi; a Skywalker. If Luke wished to see it done? It would be done.]

It is merely a matter of remembering once you return home, then.
