Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[Blinks-- Then he chuckles.]

Really? You sure it's okay?

It's okay, I think you could fit if you tried.

[because that's totally what he meant, right?]

[A chuckle. Ah, why not.]

All right, then, let's see if I can. [He crouches.]

[Florian scoots over a bit, so there'll be more room.]

See? Perfect!

[He says that before Naoki's even made it all the way in.]

Ah-- [He bumps his head off the underside of the table, ducking down more and hunkering in next to Florian.

He grins, rubbing at the top of his head.] Yeah. It's a pretty good hiding spot, for sure.

[Oh no, a bump! Florian looks curiously up at that, though the lack of any apparent problems keeps him from worrying over it.] Do you hide a lot? I like hiding, it's fun.

Me? Nah-- I'm usually right out there. Though now and then, I do.

[He settles back comfortably; he has to bow over a bit but (luckily?!) he's kind of short, so.] Fun, eh?

Really? Do you like going out there? There can be scary people sometimes, though I haven't met any here yet.

[He nods at the fun comment.] Mmhm. Luke taught me how to play hide and seek, it's like tag only you don't run away. Have you played that before?

I do like it. I like meeting them all, especially here.

[He looks at Florian thoughtfully at the mention of scary people. Did he meet some back home?]

I have! I haven't played it now since I was a kid, but.

Really? You should play it again, it's really fun! Or we could try a new game, I like learning new games.

Oh? Have you ever played red light, green light? [And thank you, Luceti, for translating what he actually says into it's English equivalent.]

Green light? [He shakes his head.] Is that a game too?

Yeah. You get a few people together and one stands with their back to the rest of the group. The first one who touches their shoulder or something wins. [He grins.] The thing is, if they turn around, you have to freeze and you can't move.

...That sounds hard! I want to try that. I'm not very good at freezing but I could try.

I'm not good at it either. [Keeping still? What an unpleasant concept! This is why he can never relax.] But yeah, worth a shot, right?

Yeah! We could both try and see if we can do it. [Maybe Florian's the better freezer of the two!]

Sounds like a plan. [He grins.] Might not be a bad idea, either, to get a couple more people to play...

Hmm, not too many, but a few. [He tilts his head.] The more the merrier, as they say.

That makes sense. [He nods in a knowing manner.] Just the right amount.

Yeah. [Naoki nods in return.] Oh right, I never got your name. Mine's Naoki.

I'm Florian! Nice to meet you.
