Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

And if that happens, and you feel threatened? [She abruptly sobers, and looking very serious, meets Katniss' eyes for a moment.]

You run. Just get out of the way and hide. Most magic that I know of can only be fought with other magic. If you haven't heard of it, it's better that you run - find help, if you can.

[That sounds like advice Haymitch would give. And it's advice she'd like to follow. Maybe. But she's usually too quick to fight back.]

Maybe.

[Because ultimately, it'll depend on the situation. And who is or isn't with her at the time.]

[Heh. Maybe was an interesting answer. A good one, she hoped.]

Well, hopefully most of the scary magic things won't show up here. It seems like we've got enough to deal with.

[She nods her agreement. There's still a lot she has to learn - just about Luceti and the people here alone. And then there's the fact that this is another game. She can't ever forget that.

But she's lucky. She has Rue, her little ally, to watch her back.]

Are you alone? Or do you have someone else here from home?

My boss is here. [Molly turned around to locate one very tall, mildly scarred individual with a glove over at least one hand who doesn't exactly exude trustworthiness. But by the way Molly's smiling about it, she disagrees with that assessment.]

Harry. That was a good surprise.

[If Katniss is paying extremely close attention to Molly, however, there's a certain tension in her that clashes with the confidence in which she regards Dresden.]

[She watches curiously, both the man and the girl's behavior. She doesn't know what to make of the man, Harry. The scars are interesting, suggestive of some sort of incident in his past. But outer scars only tell so much.

And now her head is tilted back at Molly and she's picked up on the tension. It confuses her, especially given that she was smiling just a little bit ago. And she had called it a good surprise, too.]
