A Day In Another World
Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.
Quick run of things to keep in mind:
-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.
Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!
ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

Still dressed in her pajamas, Katara opens the door and hangs the skirt back up.]
I need the skirt in a smaller size. The next one down should be okay. Can you get that while I go... [faint blush] take care of a few other things?
[She should have just gotten the dress.]
no subject
You got it.
[...He resolves to try to find a hair tie or something too while he gets the next size down in that skirt. But he's all serious here, though he tries to keep a supportive smile on.
He's home, gosh that's still amazing]

Quickly and confidently, her head up as if she belonged, Katara heads to the underwear section. From shopping with Nami, she knows her bra size, even though Katara hates these things with a small passion, if she has to blend in she is fully aware of the subtle differences they make. Besides. She's not stopping to shop for another shirt. She grabs one that looks like it will do, and a new set of underwear, eyeballs the size of the small shoe supply set up in the back and picks out some flats.
Okay. Done. Now to cover up the underthings with the shirt she's still hanging on to and meet up with Masaomi again.]
Got it?
[She tries for a smile, but it's a little bit strained.]
no subject
[For his part, it was a simple snatch and grab with only a minor delay for him to admire the sights and smells of this shop ever so briefly. ..And make sure he has enough in his wallet for this. He does, which hes glad for. And he'll be handing her the next size down skirt]
no subject
[She takes the skirt and moves into the dressing room once again to check and make sure everything fits. Satisfied, she emerges, once again clothed back in her pajamas, so that he can pay for the clothes.
She doesn't let herself stop. She doesn't let herself think. Just quick, efficient movements, focusing on the task at hand.]
All right, these will be fine. [A small smile] Thanks.
no subject
[To hold out a hand for them. Or they can... both bring them back to the front. Both work, actually]
no subject
Well, they've been staring at me this long. Might as well keep acting natural, right?
[She'll start heading towards the front.]
no subject
Here, for your hair.
[Once they make it to the front though, there'll be a short line befoooooore. Well. the cashier gives them both weird looks, but Masaomi tries to distract away from Katara in the form of hitting on her]
So. When you get off this shift, it'll be you and me, right? How about a D - A - T - E.
[It is thus with some exasperation the cashier is ringing all those up]
no subject
She's not entirely sure of Masaomi's reasons for flirting with the cashier, but is irrationally gripped for a moment or two with the fear that he'll ditch her in the middle of this strange place in order to go do - whatever. She dismisses the fear as best she can, but the fact that she's so dependent on him right now doesn't sit well with her at all.
She tells herself that she'll feel better when she's dressed and has some more water on her.
Once the clerk is done, Katara takes the bag, bowing her head in a polite nod.] Thank you.
[And then she glances back at Masaomi. Back to the dressing room, or should they be doing this somewhere else?]
no subject
[No, back to the dressing room. There's a few other places he could take it but... really, it's probably for the best to just get her looking more dressed, more innocent, and more... well. Tokyo. He can address all else once that is accomplished. ...Like how far to his apartment (for more money, because those clothes were basically all he had on hand) and then... what to do.
Man he's in a Raira uniform actually, was it a school day when he vanished? Not that he wouldn't ditch either way, but are people going to be looking weird at him?]
no subject
Okay, Katara. Deep breath. Change... everything.
...THIS is why she hates bras. The stupid underwire is so uncomfortable. And this shirt had been a little tight before, but... not in those places.
And. She is just going to have to. Pretend that this skirt is part of a swimsuit or something. Man, can she get these knee socks up any higher? No?
Sigh.
Okay, now, hair, hair, what does she do about her hair? This one little scrunchie isn't going to do much compared to her mass of hair. She fiddles with it for a bit, and finally decides on a half pony-tail. It's a similar look to her normal style and... hopefully not too out of place. She can always adjust it once she sees more people.
Right. She tugs the sweater over her shirt a little more and yanks down the hem of her skirt which... refuses to move... and. OK.
She opens the door.]
How do I look?
[Hesitant, wry, and self-conscious smile.]

Masaomi was waiting for Katara to come out admittedly a bit impatiently and anxiously. He didn't even think about what she might look like when she finishes with the changing. To be honest, her beauty or cuteness or any other such factor doesn't even play in his mind. But... when the comes out, he turns and his eyes widen, the world stops. Suddenly, the loud noise of Tokyo fades into nothing but the white noise it always was and it feels like he is absolutely alone with her in the instant. His cheeks color a bit, and he looks her up and down - her face, the hair, the chest, the legs.
The Legs. But no, his eyes don't linger anywhere in a perverted away overly long, even if there is a once over going on initially. But in the end-]
no subject
[He understates it. He notices she didn't react to "anything for you" but there's no need to push them into an argument by saying what he actually thinks: beautiful, gorgeous, and perhaps more important than either of those: for once, a part of his world.]
no subject
The breath she was subconsciously holding lets out when he delivers his assessment, and she can't help but be a little amused. She steps out to join him, shrugging slightly.]
More of a Tokyo-ite?
[Because that's the most important consideration, and her lingering self-consciousness wants the reassurance that she won't stand out.]

"Indian" is a familiar name from her world-sharing class, but she doesn't recognize the other. Either way, she thinks, it's a good thing that she can understand what he's saying.]
Right.
[And if he has her hand, she squeezes it back before releasing it with a nod.]
What do we do now?
[Her smile, at least, is a little more genuine now.]
no subject
no subject
Also. It was LOUD out here. And cars are frightening. She walks a little closer to him, so it might have almost been easier if they were still holding hands.]
Then we should go wherever you want to show me. [A brief pause.] But aren't there people you're going to want to visit?
[People who you might not get a chance to see again?]
no subject
[Where would be good to see? Actually, he needs more money for any of this. And where they are now is... oh. actually, this street is a bit busy. Maybe they should go towards a pedestrian one. Maybe Russia Sushi.]
Well, is there anything you want to see based on things I've said? ah, or anything else you need?
[You know what, if she is going to be close like this, he's just going to take her hand again]
no subject
No. I can't. I won't. She won't be responsible for lying to him with her actions and hurting him on top of everything else. Katara flexes her hand in his grip, a signal to let her go, hopefully without making a big deal of it.
Meanwhile, she sorts through his question. Okay, start with one priority.]
I'd like to see where you live? I don't think we got to do that last time.
no subject
...Him and Saki is still the background image. He tries to keep it out of Katara's sight as he checks the time on it and nods to himself. Perhaps because of seeing Saki in the phone, he doesn't release the grip on her hand, even if he loosens it a little]
It's not very impressive.
no subject
I live in a tent. [She shrugged a little and yanked gently against his grip. Dude. Let go.] At least during the milder months. Besides, it's not about being impressed - I want to see where you live.
[And now she is doubly determined that she sees it. She doesn't like it when he becomes self-depreciating like this.]
no subject
[And he says this with a somewhat crooked smile]
no subject
But then she is disturbed and distracted.]
You don't have to do that. We don't have to do anything else that will cost a lot of money.
