A Day In Another World

Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.

Quick run of things to keep in mind:

-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.

Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!

ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

[Katara glances up sharply at the man's comment, her eyes narrowing dangerously - but she doesn't stop him when he turns around to go inside. It's better. She doesn't need his help.]

[Seeing him sitting up, she pulls back and crosses her arms over her chest defensively.]

Why did you do that? You could have been really hurt!

If I wanted you to be hurt, I could have hurt you myself. You didn't need to do this to prove to me that you were sorry. You could have just apologized.

[...although she'll admit that this did make a rather eloquent point.

She's just not sure what the point is over the resounding 'I AM AN IDIOT' subpoints.]

I can- ow. I mean... [He glances again at her chest, swallows, and then looks back at her face. Oh. His mouth tastes like iron now. He must have bit his tongue during that at some point. Or maybe the side of his cheek. ...Ooops] ...I like you way too much to have you that pissed at me.

[...Wait he didn't mean to say it like that. He sits out the blood, racking his now hurting head to try again]

[More frowning. She caught that glance down but feels fairly secure with the way her arms are covering that particular part of her anatomy, and fortunately the way she's kneeling next to him she has her legs tucked underneath her.

He's going to keep looking, isn't he.

He apologized, and then he took another look.

...moon and stars, his face is a mess.]

I hate to break it to you, but hurting yourself is not a way to get me less "pissed" at you. Is anything broken?

[Smile.

...Rolling his neck. Aaaaaah. there we go. Okay, something cracked there but]

[But. wow his face hurts and his nose is still bleeding]

[And he's smiling at her.

Huff.]

Come on. Let's get you up to your apartment.

[She moves to stand and offers him her hand in case he needs help.

Of the physical kind.

Because she's pretty sure he needs mental help, and equally sure it's beyond her ken.]

[Okay he'll just.

Take that hand. and he gets up to his feet quick enough. Wow that hurts. He may or may not have dome something to his leg]

[Katara frowns.]

Can you make it up to your apartment?

[Sigh. She moves abreast of him and picks up one of his arms without asking permission to drape it around the back of her shoulders. With him being 'younger,' they are nearly of a height and it should help.]

Come on, lean on me.

[She is still so annoyed and angry with him for doing this, but it's tempered with concern and exasperated frustration.]

[...Well he can make it up. He's been beat up much worse. But. Well, okay, he leans on her in all of his 5'7 glory and they can return to the walking up now]

Yeah, I can make it.

[Silently, and not sure what she's angry about more, Katara helps him up the stairs.]

[Well there's going to be a few floors. A few up though he turns left, to go down to his room... and then reaches into his pocket. Where's a key- ...Wow, here it is. That's so weird. He stares at it in his hands for a moment before grunting and opening it to...!

...His shitty one room apartment.]

[She doesn't really take notice of the apartment except for... an evident lack of the bathroom?]

Do you have a bathroom? Something with water?

[Boy, you are still in so much trouble.]

[...Oh. Uh]

It's down the hall.

[It's labeled as a unisex one, too. Either way, he looks around it. Man, his own with Shikamaru is way better]

Just go sit down. [On his... bed? Desk? Somewhere.]

I'll go get some and be right back.

[She slips out from under his arm and starts to go, speaking as she moves.]

You should put pressure on your nose. It's still bleeding.

[All business. Shut down. But not dead - there's a heavy undercurrent of emotion there.]

Yes ma'am. [On the foot of the bed, that is. Okay, he'll be pressing on the nose too. Fine, fine]

[She makes her way down to the bathroom and knocks on it before opening the door and letting herself in. She stops and stares at the mirror for a long moment - with her hair like this, pulled back without the "hair loopies," this stupid shirt and the stupid bra - she almost doesn't look like herself at all.

What happened. What am I doing?

On a moment's reflection, it wasn't so unusual for him to have asked for a kiss. He does things like that, he pushes boundaries. It was the way he'd done it, though, the where he'd done it...

I don't like this place.

And now she couldn't even be angry with him for how he'd treated her, he'd taken even that away. She had to concentrate on fixing him instead, and then by the time she was done, her anger would go cold or be dissipated. And he'd hurt himself, he'd been incredibly stupid and he'd hurt himself and he could have been really seriously injured...

At least I have my spirit water. If that even works here.

What am I supposed to do?

One hand goes up to touch the cool stone of her mother's necklace.]

[At least there's that.

I know who I am.

She fills an abandoned cup up with water and makes her way out of the bathroom, back towards Masaomi's open door. She passes a man who gives her a seedy look that breaks into a leer when he sees where she's going, but she doesn't pay any attention to him and shuts the door behind her, turning the lock.]

All right. What hurts the most?

[As she's going, he has time to look around this apartment. This place where he claimed his independence, which he called home when he moved out of his mothers was in the middle of that gang war. Less tainted than Raira (Izaya got him in there) and earned himself. But right now... it looks pathetic. It looks like some lame prison with bad wallpaper, a bed smaller than the one he has in Luceti, and few comforts.

What was I even doing with my life, here?

By the time Katara comes back he's actually laying on his back in the bed (probably not super smart with the head injury and bleeding mouth/nose, but who cares) and he breathes out at her question-] Probably my pride.

Katara approaches.]

Sit up. Let's see if my healing will work here.

[generalflirt]

[Nod, and with only a very subtle wince, he stands. You know, he's glad there's no wings here, that would have made this worse.

/spits more blood]

[markofthebrave]

[She winced a little when the blood hit his floor. He should be treating his home with more respect.]

You could have at least got a napkin.

[Eternal quandary: Does she move to sit beside him on his bed, or bend down by him?

...considering the way her shirt apparently gapes, it's better to sit next to him. She sets the glass on the floor and streams up some water - and it's as easy as breathing, it feels wonderful - and coats her hands with it before resting them against him.

The water begins to glow and illuminates all the places that he's injured himself. She can't help but make a disappointed and sympathetic sound.]

Why did you do this?

[He'd answered before, but it didn't exactly explain his reasoning.]

Because I didn't have a cold shower handy, maybe?

[...No that leaves a bad taste in his mouth, beyond just the blood spit. He sighs, mostly because her hands are not on his face to fix that stuff. He's not even threatened by her. Maybe he should be?]

--Ah, I had to get out of that situation, Katara. And prove I'm not like that all at once. It seemed sound.
