A Day In Another World

Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.

Quick run of things to keep in mind:

-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.

Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!

ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

[He tenses up. His spine goes rigid in the same way it always does when he's genuinely taken aback, and his eyes widen a bit. What even]

[Running through that. ...Yes, he was sounding flippant. He's not even sure why. Maybe it was- no, there's definitely a component of guilt. The train stops. It's not their stop, theirs is the next one, but when it does, he bows]

[She recoils a little bit as the motion inevitably brings him closer to her.

...the only other time she'd ever seen him apologize like this was when he hit Sokka with that baseball.]

...okay. I believe you.

[And she relaxes in her seat a little.]

I believe you.

[He doesn't get up from his bow until the train starts to move again. There's a smile on his face when he does and-] You don't need to answer this one if you don't want buuuuut. Three: Do you believe I've ever tried as hard for anyone else in my life as I do for you?

[Katara blinks. And blinks again, pulling her head back to regard him.]

I'm not sure I know what you mean. Try what?

[There's a rush, a fluttering in her heart, and she isn't sure what it means but knows that it has no place here.]

[...You know what after all this seriousness. He just laughs at that one. What else can he do?] Try anything-

[His laughter has a strange effect on her - she is both annoyed and appeased. It's a cue that everything is back to normal, although she hasn't given it permission to be so, there's a comfort to that, and his genuine laughter is always a good sound.

Also, she's confused. What kind of a question is this?]

Of course you have.

[You don't just - become the "general" of a gang for lack of trying. All that training he's done with Linda, with Shikamaru... of course he has.]

Ooooh, you think so, do you?

[He's still laughing, arching an eyebrow. Who else would he do all this for? Who else has he worked so hard make appreciate him? Not Saki, that's for sure - their courtship was very quick and facilitated at first a lot by her feelings. Not Mikado, they had been fast friends, and Anri has worked into the fold quickly. Not his Scarves, because his superior strength and charisma allowed him to build up quickly. No, there is truly no one else he has bended over backwards even half as much to make happy as Katara]

[She draws the word out, making it slightly questioning, assessing. Her head tilts to the side as her eyes narrow, scrutinizing him lightly. What's so funny? What is she missing?]

Yes.

Well! You might be right! [He goes to grab and upper level on this bar. They're nearing their stop anyway. Here comes Akihabara, which he suspects will be quite... the experience. For both of them. Hell, even if they don't run into the Van Gang]

[She huffs, and notices - to her irritation - that when she was talking with him she hadn't felt sick. Not once.

She glances down at their feet again, willing her stomach to stay exactly where it is - and that's when she recognizes that she's not just motion sick. She'd been so upset, it had actually contributed to the feeling.

Breathe.

And this time it works. She can feel herself letting some of whatever it was (pride, mostly, not that she'd admit it) holding her pain so close to her heart break and fall down.]

You're right. I'm not fine.

[I don't know if I ever will be until I get home.]

[She looks up at him and as the train comes to a halt.]

But. I will be.

[And she stands and holds out her hand so that they won't get separated in the crowd.]

[...Hah. He takes the hand without thinking, and he does that thing where he rubs his thumb on the back of her briefly without thinking.

That's all I needed to know. [And with that, he leads her to disembarking! And into Akihabara's station. They'll take a while to hit the streets of course but once they do, it'll be another adventure!]
