That is unusual. [Yuki's always at the HQ. She's a better lurker than even he is.] Have you seen her around anywhere else?

No reason in particular- just wondering if you knew whether she was affected or not. [Messing with the memories of a god is a serious thing. He'll have to track her down ASAP.]

[Well, sort of. This could complicate things, if Kyon doesn't remember Haruhi as well as he ought to. If she reacts badly...]

Yeah, you know. Vampires.

[This whole thing is weird, what with the seemingly random gaps in Homura's memory. He remembers her, but not Derek, and not her occupation. What else has he managed— or rather, been encouraged to forget?

Ayumu just shrugs in response, glancing sharply to one side before identifying an odd shadow under a bush as just someone's forgotten jacket and not a person hiding. If Derek had to seek shelter on the way to the house... well, it seems likely, but there's no sign of him so far.]

Hard to say what you do and don't know at this point.

[Especially with Peeta and his leg. He'd have a harder time of it than Rue if woke up someplace hard to maneuver within. And Buttercup, well... he's a survivor. Maybe more than the rest of them.

But as silly as this game seems, she's not happy.]

3rd Day

"Of course I will." There's no doubt about that. It's hard and it's uncomfortable. Worrying that she's missing something. Worried about Rue's behavior, the confusion that the poor girl must be suffering right now.

Her hands curl up into fists as she thinks of the Malnosso and the fact that they have to play these games with them at all. "This is such a stupid game."

Don is willing to entertain the idea that his memories are wrong, but this is going too far - the connection he feels to Leo is too deep and personal to be fake, or to be questioned.

[Okay, he didn't really want to say anything, because... he sort of lets the ninja do their own thing, and he knows how dangerous Ayumu is. Not the sort of woman he'd order around much. But the western clothes, and the randomly attacking bushes outside of the house and... well, this is all very weird. Something Is Up. So he tries to catch her by herself one day to have a little chat about this]

[Rue quietly walks over and takes one of the bags from him. She can't resist her curiosity as she peers into the bag.]

[Ever since she'd unexpectedly woken in some stranger's house the first day of the experiment Ayumu has been trying to avoid House 50 when possible, hoping that the residents hadn't noticed the intrusion at all but still reluctant to talk to them about it. When her path takes her right by the place today and she finds herself confronted by one of them, though, she gives him an almost guilty look before smoothing out her expression into something like polite neutrality.]

I beg your pardon?

Yeah. I guess. [ She runs her fingertips along her jawline, uncomfortable. ] Saw my eyes and started acting like someone stuck a knife in my chest without me noticing.

[ As if she somehow doesn't already know full-well how bad exposing little girls to mako is. ]

[And even that expression seems strange on Ayu's face, to him.]

As I said. You haven't been around the house, and you aren't acting like your usual self.

I've been around my house. Though I'm certain the confusion is understandable, what with the experiment scrambling memories as it seems to have done.
