[Grabs a careful seat next to her and offers a pastry. He made extra this morning out of habit, but left before Ace got up, so took a few extras with him.]

See? We're not so bad for pirates, eh? [Not that she thought otherwise beforehand, but he needed an ice breaker. He couldn't believe how much he missed Haruta now. Having somehow believed that he was running around with her second in command in the crew here in Luceti for a week. Even just one more family member seemed to bring home a little closer to Luceti and for that he was grateful if it hadn't lasted.]

[She looks up and smiles softly]

I never said you were. Most cops would've ignored you outright once you admitted to being a criminal, remember? Still, its strange to think that was all in my head.

I'll bet. [Waves the pastry a little to entice her to take it.] And I appreciate never being ignored. It meant I didn't lie as much. [Oh did he just admit he lied a little? Whoops.]

Feel any different now? [He's not exactly too wary. She doesn't seem like she'd be giving away any crew secrets to marines anytime soon, but it's worth asking. Going from a family of 1600 to none would be jarring for anyone.]

Feeling different about what? You and the family? [She almost said our, but realized that wasn't quite right.]

No, not really. I still like you, and I respect Whitebeard. I'll remember him fondly. Thats part of why I'm writing it all down.

He'd appreciate that, I'm sure. [A slightly distant look, fondly remembering his father.]

Mah, actually I meant about Luceti though. Or maybe others around here. [He couldn't remember if she'd even met Ace yet.]

How do I feel about Luceti? Honestly? Not too different. Last week was interesting, and I enjoyed it. I said it before, and I'll say it again. The Malnosso don't disturb me half as much as Bison.

See this is what I like about you. [He feels the same way, but with most of the marines and worse pirates instead of Bison of course.]

Though now I'm really curious what you're writing about us. [Refrains from sneaking a peek however.]

Well, I'll show you. Its just stories from things that I "was" a part of, and my own thoughts about Whitebeard and the others. Nothing bad. My real father wouldn't want me to remember you as anything but kind, and I wouldn't either.
