Does it trouble you? We have had these reality shifts before ... though not as a side effect of another shift.

I'm not troubled.

... Actually I'm curious, more than anything.

How so? [He glances over, though not for long.]

Well, you did just have first hand experience of my world. What did you think? [Particularly considering how unrealistic he often referred to the situation as.]

[...] Your world is strange. In some respects, it's no different from this world or my own. But there are aspects in which they are radically different. [But he had already commented as much when they had discussed her world a long time ago.]

Was there anything in particular that stood out for you?

The ... spirits. Sheena's being a summoner has come up before, and I had heard of Volt, but the comparisons between the Summon Spirits and the Filial spirits are much more apparent now.

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2012-04-16 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see. The similarities and differences between the spirits is a fascinating study. It makes me wonder where the Filial Spirits truly originated from...

Still, at least something stood out. It would have been a shame for you to take a trip like that and have it be a waste.
chikaidestroyer: (Possibly inattentive)

[He snorts at the comment.] I am not sure the trip was worth the resulting the headache with the ... world-anchoring accident. As if we do not suffer from enough of these reality Shifts already.
wise_maiden: (and i can't believe)

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2012-04-16 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. I wonder if the results would have been similar had the project not been tampered with. Honestly. Somehow they caught wind of something new and thought the best thing to do with it was to try it out on the lab rats.

It's rather astonishing that the Rogue Faction still has the ability to affect the enclosure in that way. Droid abductions, perhaps somewhat understandable since they can be rather discreet... But a full-fledged experiment like that. Hn.

We only were made aware of one faction of them. They could have many others within other establishments -- it's not as if we really know just how large the Organization is.

So you are implying that there are more groups than the one that Bil had been trying to root out?
wise_maiden: (through so many splintered trees)

[action]

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2012-04-17 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
They could be part of the same group that even he may not have been aware of. Anything's a possibility.
chikaidestroyer: (Green contemplation)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2012-04-17 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
That is implying that he wasn't aware of the group, though. [...] Was there something said that makes you believe that this is not the same Rogue Faction network that we were already aware of?
wise_maiden: (a closer look at the situation)

[action]

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2012-04-17 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
... that isn't what I meant. I meant that we were only aware of the ones in that building, and that others might be along the mainstream Organization and passing along their information. So if they heard people openly discussing Bil's plans on the network...
chikaidestroyer: (Eyes closed in concentration)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2012-04-17 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
I thought it was best to err to the side of caution and believe that they would have access to the same network in general, since we already know that an entire site can function without realizing they are in violation of the Organization.

It does beg the question of why Bil was left alone for so long if he could be taken by surprise like this.

They probably needed time and an opportunity. Or enough time for him to get comfortable. After all, hasn't it been a year since he moved in? And it's likely been busy on the their side as well.

Which possibility do you prescribe to? Since you offered so many scenarios.

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2012-04-23 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
... there is little evidence to subscribe to any one possibility at this time. Although it could very well be a combination of the factors.

I see. [Covering all the bases, so to speak. And avoiding giving a straight answer. Hah.

He stands up from where he had been working, dusting at the dirt clinging to his pants.]
