Poor Buffy. He could tell how much she wasn't enjoying it. Sokka was not heartless, at least. He held up a bottle of water. "Thirsty?"

"Thanks," she gasped as she grasped the bottle and chugged.

Water, of course, rarely helps with spicy things. THANKS INDEED.

Sokka rarely had a problem with spicy things. Why bring anything besides water?

"I'll try and avoid letting your current vampire arch enemy know about your crippling weakness to spicy foods."

"She's not an arch enemy. She's a..." Cough. Splutter. Cough some more. "More like a semi-arch enemy. She's not so scary by herself."

Buffy thumped her chest. Drank some more water. Held the bottle back out to Sokka. "I'm gonna have indigestion for a week."

Definitely a weakness. Shaking his head, Sokka stood up.

"I think we need to get you something stronger than water."

"I'm fine, I'm fine. Honest."

She leaned into the corner of the sofa. Waving at him. "Just impressed by the stalwartness of your tastebuds."

He crossed his arms, looking skeptical at her fine-ness and honesty. "Well, my tastebuds have been trained to handle anything that might come their way."

"Are you insulting my tastebuds' honour?"
