[A toast with cake, really? He'd tell Rin the cake was good but everything he cooks and bakes always turns out at a really high standard so it should go without saying it tastes great.]

It's a shame three extra people ended up getting dragged into everything but there's nothing that can be done about that now.

Yeah... you gonna talk to that Natsuno guy? I'm planning to call Aoba, see how he's doing.

Somehow I don't think Natsuno will be all that happy to be hearing from me.

[It's not like he kept in contact with every single person he worked with back home, even if this is a special circumstance. Plus he doesn't want much else to do with someone so horribly unmotivated like him. It would just be added stress at this point.]

We'll no doubt run into each other at some point, I'll ask how he is when that time comes.

You should still talk with him. [But... Rin won't push it. Yukio knows the other guy more and he did sort of seem like a tool I mean what is with those shoes]

Whilst I'm not obligated to do so I can understand where you're coming from. I'll talk to him when I talk to him. [Whenever that might be. Oh wow those shoes, don't even mention that fashion disaster--] He can see to himself just fine at any rate, a call to check to see how he's doing would just be an annoyance.

...Yeah, I guess he didn't seem that into any of us. [Weird. Their class is so close, even Aoba was a part of it.... but now he thinks of it, not like the others were. He wonders if Fenimore was similarly "other." He grunts as he goes back to the cake]

Or anything vaguely to do with us, he was just caught up in the aftermath of going home. [Mm, cake. But he does wonder about Fenimore too.] She seemed to give off a much better impression, so hopefully Shiemi is keeping contact with her. Fenimore.

Yeah, well, I think they were friends before this. At least she gave me a hard time about it before.

I wasn't! Shiemi was just going to a hot springs party so I was making sure she was okay!

Did you tell her ahead of time you were going to be going with her to the party? Someone might take you 'making sure she was okay' differently than if you weren't with her so much as you were just staring at her.
