[Not everything in life can be silly. Even a man that steal skyscraper tall statues with hot air balloons knows this. Having friends be brainwashed and drugged to forget the difference between friend and foe is unnerving, but can be dealt with and left in the past. This was no different for him.

Fujiko did this to him once, subconsciously forced herself to forget everything. Her skills, her wiles as a thief, their relationship...the Malnosso only added an extra layer of false memories, but he did the exact same thing to her.

It was heartening to see Daisy trying to pull herself back together. Someone that strong and that pretty shouldn't have to look so broken.]

Honestly? I wouldn't know what's normal for around here yet. This is only the third Shift that I've been through. What is normal more like? [It was a distraction. Perhaps getting her to talk would help.]

I got turned into a sylph once. There was a shift that turned people into fairy tale characters.

I also turned into Rapunzel.

Huh. [A part of him was baffled by this level of changes. Another was intrigued.] That sounds pretty cool, but it must have been wierd when it was going on.

Another day at Luceti. Not that I'd like not to be able to move out of my quarters because it happens to cover everything.
