Who: Pao-Lin (i_am_not_cute), Link (blessedbyfarore), their CR, and anyone who wants to crash a bitchingly green birthday bash.
What: A delayed joint birthday party for Pao-Lin (April 4th) and Link (April 5th).
When: Friday the 13th. Yes, make all the jokes about bad luck and horror movies and blah dee blah fiffersnaffle.
Where: Rec Center.
Summary: Pao-Lin's turning sweet sixteen and Link's no longer a teenager. This is apparently a reason to celebrate or something.
Rating: PG. :|

So, hey, the Rec Center's looking rather festive today, ain't it? There's balloons and streamers and banners and party hats and games and food all around the place, what fun! The party's technically meant to celebrate Pao-Lin's and Link's birthdays, but anyone who could use some distractions from the "errors" of last week is free to drop by and unwind.

[Practically any young'un would be happy about a birthday party, but Pao-Lin's especially excited for this -- it's the first time in years since she's gotten to do anything on this scale, with more people closer to her age. She vaguely recalls parties in her childhood with kids from neighboring apartments, but they all abandoned her (either of their own volition or by parental decree) once word got around that she was a NEXT. Then when she moved to Sternbild to become a Hero, she simply didn't have the time, energy, or freedom to make many friends her age that she could celebrate with. Obligatory professional acknowledgments of turning a year older followed by dinner with Natasha weren't bad, and Pao-Lin had gotten used to it, but...deep in her heart she'd always wished for something like a karaoke outing with friends for a birthday. (Even if. She doesn't actually like singing all that much.) So putting together this party, especially with another friend, has made her the happiest she's been in the past few months. The only things missing from this platter of awesomecakes are the rest of her Hero pals. Which she supposes is technically a good thing, but it would've been nice to do something informal like this with Karina, Ivan, Nathan, Keith, and Antonio around, too.

Go ahead and find a perky Pao-Pao puttering around the party, mingling, eating, playing games (video or otherwise), or just checking up on things!]

[After Paopao babysat at least once I have been pretty bad about contacting about that sort of thing, there's no way Fenimore and Sophie could skip out on this. Besides, Grune would have dragged her there, anyway.

So Fenimore will make her way Pao-Lin-ward, with Sophie following along with a small present in hand. The present was bought by Fenimore, but hey, it would be nice to let Sophie be the one to give it. ...Even if her low knowledge of Pao-Lin's interests means it's completely off-track.]

And he's even come complete with gift, which he'll be holding as he looks around the party in search of the birthday girl.]

[Fenimore was probably dragged here by Grune, insofar as Grune can drag a person, along with the three-year-old white-haired kid that House 34 looks after. She didn't protest much, though, as her interaction with both the birthday people had been largely positive. Fenimore's even got a small box under an arm that is festively wrapped -- don't expect too much, since she more-or-less stopped at the item shop and grabbed whatever seemed like a good idea, but at least she can say she got him a present.

She comes up behind Link at the food table.]

[With two of his buddies celebrating their birthdays simultaneously, how could the dork in the pink hoodie not make his appearance and wish them well?

He's brought a ton of assorted candies for Pao-lin - the sort she had said she much enjoyed when they had spoken during the chaos which had been Halloween - out of lack of knowing what to get a chick on her big day. As for Link, he gets a hearty pat on the back and some sort of small sword-polishing kit that had been pointed out to him in the shop. After all, he remembers that sword of his from their very first conversation, and what could be more important than proper maintenance of something so hardcore?

Whether addressing the birthday boy or girl, he'll warmly wish them a happy birthday (and many more) and surely compliment the food. Others can expect him to be chilling out on a couch and contentedly gobbling up some good eats.]

And so a red bird is here to party. She even has cookies for Pao-Lin and Link! Expect her to sneak one, though. And she'll be happy to play them an annoying birthday tune on her trusty kazoo.

This is definitely a welcome distraction from the last week and the angst that went with it.]

[Herobro! No need to worry about sneaking a cookie -- Pao-Lin's glad for the treats, but she'll set them out on the food table for other people to enjoy as well. (Are these MnM cookies? Hell yeah!) As to what Kazooie's doing when Pao-Lin tracks her down later, well, I'll leave that up to you. :D]
