When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it
Where: All around the town square

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

[She tilts her head.] You're welcome to take a break and take a peek at things yourself, of course. Maybe put up a sign on your... box there.

A sign? I've got no sign-making implements. Though might be nice to wander about together for a bit, eh?

There are plenty of papers and materials at the ready in the schoolhouse, should you have need of it.

[Although the second part of what he said sinks in.] You want to walk around... together?

Why? Don't you?

I've been walking around anyway, so I suppose it would be fine.

[all7seas]

[Maybe he doesn't have to bring up their wedding and their wedding night. Maybe he can just be her friend today.] Brilliant. Here. I'll leave my coconuts. No one will have their way with them in my absence.

[wise_maiden]

No, I suppose they wouldn't. [A soft chuckle.] I'm ready when you are, then.

[all7seas]

[He offers her his arm.] Me? Born ready.

[wise_maiden]

[There's the briefest flicker of hesitation, there, a flashback to the Great One's festival, even, though she takes his arm anyway.]

Lets see where our road leads us, then. You wanted to try a bite to eat first, correct?

[all7seas]

Aye, if it's no trouble, me bein' peckish and all.

[wise_maiden]

It's not any trouble. Why would it be?

[all7seas]

NO. No. I mean. It wouldn't be, darling.


...Why would it be? [He clears his throat rather nervously.]

[wise_maiden]

... well. It isn't any at all, if you're hungry. Besides, different types of available food is a part of the culture experience.

[all7seas]

Ah. About that: what IS, exactly a "culture experience"? What am I meant to be thinking and or feeling about all of this? [Apart from the fact that it reminds him a bit of a street fair in one of the more worldly ports he's been to.]

I can't tell you what you're supposed to think and feel. You think and feel on your own. This is more of... we live around people from other worlds and interact with one another each day, but we don't really know anything about where they came from. And ... barring ... a certain incident a few weeks ago, it's not like we can just go exploring at a drop of a hat. So these are just a few experiences and examples that people were willing to share.

What if what I'm thinkin' and feelin' is "I live amongst very odd geezers"?

Then lets grab you a bite so that you can have a chance to experience other things. Have you watched any of their demonstrations?

Demonstrations? Nah. Been far too busy with my coconuts. What sorts of things, hmm?

[wise_maiden]

Lets see... Katara and some of the others have been demonstrating the different elements and 'bending' from their world. I've heard talk of a concert being set up... there probably are other things as well.

[all7seas]

Aye...the bending. I asked her to teach me that, once. [Because what could be more useful than bending water?] She laughed.

[wise_maiden]

It's a natural gift of hers. It's not something she can teach just anyone on a whim, you know.

[all7seas]

Well I know that NOW, darling. [Jack plucks a flower from some poor hapless soul's display booth and holds it out to Raine. It's a lilac spray.] Just...just thought it might be possible, at the time. That's all.

[wise_maiden]

... well. Perhaps if you were able to pick up the knowledge of water magic, from one of the spirits ... but even then, I doubt it would be as extensive as she is able to utilize it.

[She blinks a little at the gesture, remembering some of their conversations about flowers.] Ah. Thank you.
