When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it
Where: All around the town square

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

"By waving it in the air?

Honestly just take the coconuts off of your ears and stop shouting."

"WHAT?"

"...You can't be serious."

Extending an arm Sabriel gives the pirate's sleeve a light tug to try and get him to lower the coconut shell from his ear.

This time he is obedient and places the shells down on the box. "Hmmm? Are you quite ready to play now?"

"I was ready five minutes ago but I don't suppose you heard me."

With a little shrug she checks her pockets for something she could use that preferably she wouldn't feel too miffed about potentially losing...and comes up with a small wrapped butterscotch hard candy.

"...Would this work?"

Oh. OH. Butterscotch! Jack LOVES butterscotches! Has since he was a young boy.

He tries not to show TOO much interest.

"Aye. Should do, that. Hand it over, lass."

Good thing she has a little jar of them at home, she can afford to lose a few of them. With a small nod she hands over the candy and tucks her arms behind her back, patiently waiting for the game to start.

"Best two out of three?" Jack asks as his hands blur with the coconut husks, moving them quickly in and out and around and around.

"Fair enough."

Now this makes for a nice challenge. Watching his hands she tries to keep track of the shell she thought hid the stone, eyes darting back and forth with the movement of the coconuts.

Finally the pirate stops and lines up the three coconuts once more. "Alright, lass. Now? You guess."

Oh dear, she'd lost track more than a minute ago so really it could be any of the three. Or none she supposes, he is a pirate after all...but it was just a butterscotch so she doesn't mind losing it in a random guess. Narrowing her eyes at the line of coconuts she points to the one on her right.

"That one."

He lifts it. "Wrong!" There is an unmasked delight in his eyes. "Try again!"

Now that was expected. She turns her attention to the remaining coconuts.

"Hm...are my options limited to only the coconuts?"

Why yes, she is insinuating the stone might have magicked it's way up one of his sleeves.

Maybe it has; maybe it has. "My trousers? Off limits. Buffy'll get angry."

"...Do I look like someone who would ask for such a thing?"

But now the question has become less 'which coconut' but 'which sleeve'.

"Come come! We haven't got all night, lassie!"

Alright then, which was the last hand he had on the coconuts?

"Left then. Open your left hand."

"No. Why."

It wasn't going to be THAT easy.

"Just checking all of my options."

She shrugs and then points to the leftmost coconut shell.

"Wrong! Looks like, darling, you've lost."

That's not too surprising.

"Ah well, enjoy the candy then sir pirate."

"Butterscotches? I always do, mistress...?"

"Sabriel."

She extends a hand over the table to him. Though he was a little frustrating it was generally in the pirate's nature to be contrary, right?

And who knew if it would ever come to light that Jack once removed Mogget's collar?

"Sparrow. Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack Sparrow, your Sabrielness. A pleasure."

He bends down to kiss her hand rather than shaking it. Jack's not a hand shaker when it comes to lovely ladies.

"Just Sabriel is fine, Captain Sparrow."

The gesture is a little unexpected but she accepts it with all the grace she had been taught in her years at Wyverley. Lips curling in a polite smile she draws her hand back once he has finished his greeting.
