When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

They were horrific Jack. They are horrific.

"Good." She offers Jack her arm with half a smile. "Lead on, Jackie Dear."

"With a will, Adele darling!" His steps WILL eventually lead them toward the Water Tribe booth, because....mmmmm. Smells divine.

"This is...Katara's world, yes?" Adele remembers a little from her handful of interactions with the young woman. Other than respect and some small curiosity at her 'water bending', there was not much she knew of her.

"Sister of Thunderaxe? Aye. Katara. She's a tough customer, that lass."

"A valuable member of the clinic staff as well."

"Clinic staff? Katara?"

"She volunteers, now and then. The only time I have truly worked with her in earnest was during Stark's attempt at starting a fight club in the tunnels."

"Ha! Stark!" That's all Jack has to say about THAT. He finds the idea of a Fight Club rather philistine and needless, but is rather amused by the fact that there were doctors standing by.

"Apparently Doyle has taken to referring to him by the name of the actor which portrayed him in the films present in our worlds. And it infuriates him." She chuckles, shakes her head at the thought of doing the same.

"Films? He's in films? Forget angry. Surprised it hasn't given him a big head." He pauses for a moment and then corrects himself: "A bigger head."

"I do not think that's possible. Not without something vital rupturing."

"Ha! Hahaha! Aye! Like his spine!"

"That would leave quite a mess. And knowing my luck I would have to be the one to mend it."

"Eh. He'd be back in a week." Jack waved off that notion. "Oi. I've been learning healing-type things."

He'd been learning. Mastering? Was a different story.

"Healing type things? With the spirits or with the blood and needles as I often work?"

The thought of Jack trying to patch anything vital back together is...frightening, at best.

"Spirits. Nala. Healing spirit! I'm.......rather mucky at it, actually." No surprise there.

"By mucky. What do you mean?" Surprise? Not at all. It does leave her curious.

"Rotten. Stinking. Dogs' bollocks." There were more descriptive epithets if she needed them.

"So you hurt people rather than heal them?" She might be smirking, just a bit.

"Not hurt. Just. Not highly effective at it, is all."

"Perhaps you're not terribly suited to healing, Jack."

"Why wouldn't I be?! I'm Captain Jack Sparrow!"

Oh, there are plenty of reasons: decades of selfishness, for a start. Over the past couple of years he has only scratched the surface of caring outwardly for others. It's an uphill battle.

"You're Captain Jack Sparrow. Is that not reason enough? Piracy does not often lend itself well to compassion, empathy, selflessness, or the fine art of sterile surgery."

Not that being a surgeon or physician automatically made her more compassionate, empathetic, or selfless. Those were simply qualities that suited Nala best.

"I can bind up a fierce injury if I have to, dearest." That, of course, was not the same as healing terrible injuries. "At need."

"Should I ever have a bleeding chest wound, you will be the first person I call." Though that was terribly unlikely.
