Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

Well, these are stewed sea prunes. [And she piles on some more there.] And these are fire flakes.

[Are you kidding, he'll eat anything. Though the sea prunes aren't his favorite, they don't bother him much. (The Philosopher's Stone keeps it from killing him clearly.)]

They're both pretty intense as food goes. People on your world don't do anything mild, do they?

I saw your waterbending demonstration earlier. It certainly was interesting. I don't think anything from my world could compare to that.

Oh, really? I guess bending is pretty unique. I've seen people do magic with the elements before, but it's not quite the same thing. What kind of world do you come from?

[avaricious]

There's no magic where I'm from, if that's what you're asking. The closest thing is alkahestry, though it's called alchemy in the west. But that has more to do with science than anything else. [And Ling is no scientist.]

Oh, you're from Ed's world?

Ha, so you know Ed? Yeah, I am.

He's been teaching my brother alchemy.

[And eyeing him, she thinks he'll appreciate this:]

[... except that idea just seems weird. Especially given what he knows of transmuting living stuff.]

What's wrong with ordinary meat?

Nothing. He just wanted to practice on something he knew.

[And Sokka knooooooooooooooows meat.]

I see. I'm not an alchemist, so I really have no idea what the best way to learn is.

I'm sure Sokka will manage.

[Casual, dismissive confidence? Yeup.]

I've never really heard of alchemy anywhere other than your world.

[avaricious]

Well that's a coincidence. I'd never heard of other worlds before Luceti!

[markofthebrave]

[Mmhmm.]

I meant the worlds I've heard of since I'd been here.

[avaricious]

[He knows she meant that.]

I haven't asked about alchemy, personally. [It's just not how he defines his own world. It's just one simple part of it. That would be like trying to define his world by the presence of pandas or people having automail or the existence of radios.] But plenty of other worlds seem interesting enough on their own.

That's true. There are so many different kinds of worlds and people here. That's why this cultural festival was such a great idea. Sure, you can hear about things in world sharing class, but you don't get to see them like this. I'm glad Raine arranged it.

It certainly is. I'd have a booth for Xing, but I wouldn't get to go around experiencing all the other cultures that way. [Or "Free Food".]

What sort of things would you put in your booth, if you made it?

I hadn't thought that much about it. I really don't have many things from home here with me.
