When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

Oh, hi Naoki! Did you make all of this yourself?

Yep, that's right! [Naoki grins, not straightening up and lounging with arms moving to fold behind his head. Luckily he's good at keeping himself balanced.]

Go ahead and have some, if you wanna.

Really? I mean, I'm kind of supposed to be working here, so I'm not sure I should be eating too much of the food that's for the guests...

[He leans in closer for a better look and... the hat slides down a bit into his eyes. Sob this costume, look what they did to him, Naoki. :(]

No, no, go ahead. I promise I won't tell anybody.

[Naoki gives him a conspiratorial grin, then blinks.] Your hat seems kinda big for you.

Oh, this?

[He pushes it back up on his head with a sheepish grin.]

It was Raine and Sheena's idea. They thought I should dress up as the Wonder Chef and go around giving recipes to people like the real one does in our world.

There's a guy like that in your world?

[Huh. Well. Gotta love your day job. Or something.]

Yeah, he disguises himself as different objects, and if you look at them, he pops out and gives you a recipe. It's a great way to learn new recipes if you can find where he's hiding!

[It's... no, it pretty much is as weird as it sounds.]

He sounds like he should be called the "ninja chef", instead, [is what Naoki has to say about it.]

Actually, that does sound like a better name for him. Oh wait, hold on...

[He rummages in his pocket for a moment before pulling out a card with a recipe for gratin written on it, which he then hands to Naoki.]

You found me, so that means you get a recipe too!

... [Naoki snorts into his hand. You kind of found him, Emil, but he takes the card anyway.]

Thanks. I'll be sure to give it a try.

[And he will. Naoki does not spurn a good recipe.]

[... and in exchange, Emil will be reaching for a handful of those wasabi peas. You might want to warn him that they're hot before he just shoves them in his mouth...]
