When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it
Where: All around the town square

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

That's not too surprising.

"Ah well, enjoy the candy then sir pirate."

"Butterscotches? I always do, mistress...?"

"Sabriel."

She extends a hand over the table to him. Though he was a little frustrating it was generally in the pirate's nature to be contrary, right?

And who knew if it would ever come to light that Jack once removed Mogget's collar?

"Sparrow. Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack Sparrow, your Sabrielness. A pleasure."

He bends down to kiss her hand rather than shaking it. Jack's not a hand shaker when it comes to lovely ladies.

"Just Sabriel is fine, Captain Sparrow."

The gesture is a little unexpected but she accepts it with all the grace she had been taught in her years at Wyverley. Lips curling in a polite smile she draws her hand back once he has finished his greeting.

"Just Sabriel, then. You're new here? You look new to me."

"I've been here for almost two months now but I suppose that is pretty new."

"That's newish. Me? Been here two years. Not so new, me, though there's quite a few as have been here longer.



It changes you, this place. Mark me on that."

"Two years."

That is far too long a time period for non-consensual containment if you ask Sabriel. She frowns faintly, mulling over his words before asking.

"In your experience would you consider the change positive or negative?"

"That's....not the sort of question I feel I can answer, lass. Sorry."

"It's something of a personal question to be fair. And with all the ups and downs this place goes through it would be hard to sum it up in an 'yes or no' answer."

[She gives a little shrug. How would she change from being here?]

"Aye. That. But I will say one thing: it's a second life. A parallel course. Might as well try to make it epic, eh? Legendary."

"I think there is enough legendary material waiting for me when I return home. Just this...even for a little while is a welcome change."

"Oh? You a legend, lassie?"

"Not so much me but...my family is somewhat legendary, yes."

"Criminals?"

This face. Because really? Just...no.

"Heroes?"

"Something along those lines, yes."

[all7seas]

"I don't know too much about walking those lines, lass. Sorry."

"Forgive me if I'm not too surprised."

"For you? Anything. Forgiveness. Whatever. I suppose I can surprise you at some other time."

"I suppose so, Captain Sparrow. Thank you for the game."
