When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

[Winry looks at the card when she gets it in her hand. The girl's calloused thumb grazes over the words she wrote in ink. One of these, huh? She wonders how many Haruhi has left, and what they say. It's useless to dwell on it now, but...]

Did you want me to reach over the table to give it to you?

Or under it, or on it, or around it. I don't really care.

[She does. She just wants- Who knows what she wants. She has a large number of them left. Some even more invasive than this one. But...]

[With a sigh she shakes her head. It's probably a bad idea to keep doing intimate things of this nature. But she promised. She promised because with all her heart she wanted to offer something in return to Haruhi for breaking her heart. The blond walks around the table, brushes some of Haruhi's hair back, and then cup's the other girl's face. She won't half ass this, no. It'd be rude, and completely demeaning of what they used to have. This kiss won't be passionate either, however. It is gentle and, Winry hopes, meaningful.]

[...This feeling still sucks. Still sucks. She's desperate though, desperate, lonely, hurt. and as such she keeps in it longer than her pride tells her she should, but when he pulls off, she grits her teeth almost immediately.]

You're over it.

[Already. Over her.

So much for loving her.]

[Winry gives Haruhi a confused look.]

What?

[She swallows. A million different retorts, ranging from pathetic to furious run through her head. All sorts of ways she could hurt Winry with things which aren't quite untrue flood into her mind. She hangs her head. Her teeth still gritted, she wishes that the world could just be destroyed right now. Everyone here should-

...Should what, die? No, she can't wish that. It might come true. Angry tears are forming in the corners of her eyes]

I'll do you a favor and burn the rest of those cards.

Excuse me? I thought you wanted me to own up to them?

[What's the stupid look on your face? She glances up a little, her eyes just. Hurt. Angry]

It doesn't matter.

It obviously matters to you, so why did you say that?

Because it doesn't! [And she had two more in her other pocket, right? In case this went well. She rips them out of her pocket, and now furiously is going to work tearing them to shreds-

...and it is then that she remembers and sees she is wearing that bracelet Winry made for her. Her throat constricts, and she goes to get it off her wrist]

Ha-Haruhi...!

[She watches for a moment, frozen in bewilderment. What is this girl doing?! Quickly Winry reaches to grab both of Haruhi's.]

S-stop, Haruhi, please! What are you doing?

I'm taking off this stupid bracelet! Get your- [Struggling to get her hands free] hands off me!

[This stupid bracelet! Winry takes a look. It's her bracelet. The one she made for Haruhi. The blond's hands drop and she takes two steps back. Wh-what? She doesn't want that? Does she want to get rid of everything that she gave her? A lump forms in Winry's throat and she can't take her eyes off of the bracelet. Haruhi wants to get rid of it. Get rid of her gifts. Get rid of her? She doesn't recognize it yet, but her lip begins to quiver and her hands shake.

Get rid of her bracelet? Does she hate me?

Get rid of her gifts? She really hates me, doesn't she?

Get rid of her? She hates me. Winry takes another step back. She didn't want to screw things up. She didn't want to passionately kiss Haruhi again to give her false hope of them getting back together. She wasn't over it. How could she be? Her heart still ached everyday she didn't see Haruhi.]

You hate me? [The question is said in fear, and she can't help if it sounds a little pathetic.]

[With her hands free, she finally gets the bracelet off. She holds it high and then throws it hard onto the ground. It's entirely possible that she broke it. That she dented it, at least. In a while, maybe a half hour, she'll no doubt beak down sobbing that she damaged something which is so precious to her. But right now, she's just panting, staring at that bracelet. She barely even hears Winry. She knows she's making a scene in public - in a suit, at the cultural fair. It's probable there's some people staring.

Who cares, who cares, who cares.

It's only after she stares at it for some time Winry's question finally processes. Her face contorts into something very ugly indeed, and before she can event stop herself-]

Why shouldn't I?

Is that all you wanted me here for? So you could tell me that you really do hate me?

[It's difficult to speak normal with this lump in her throat. Her voice cracks and she tries not to sob. When she isn't speaking she bites her lip so that she doesn't sob. Tears of her own form in the corner of her eyes. Haruhi, the person that she knew the longest here, her first boyfriend and girlfriend, someone who she has gotten used to seeing very often, hates her? It hurts. It cuts her her like a knife, and a hand grips fabric on the chest of her shirt as she tries to still the pain.]

["Is that all you wanted me here for?"

Well wasn't that what you risked? So many other things she could say race through her mind as she shuts her eyes as hard as she can to try to not cry. It's not working well. Angry tears are still getting in there. Breathe, breathe.]

...Of course it wasn't.

[She said, staring at the bracelet]

Then why, Haruhi? Why did you call me out here? Why did you- [discard something I made for you like trash] do that?

I called you out here... to see you. To talk. [Still staring at the bracelet. To pretend they could be friends. Clearly not]

I was glad you did until now. [She sniffs and wipes her eyes with the back of her hand.]

I missed you.

[Until now.

Hah]

You have no idea how- ["much it hurt" "what it's like." She bites in both of those. she bites back any reply about Ed and collapses to her knees, staring still at the bracelet]

I know I don't! I don't have a clue! I'm trying to cooperate with you because I don't know. But you don't know either! You don't know how I feel about this. Leaving you didn't make me any more happy. Everything isn't sunshine and roses on my end either. I love you, Haruhi. You mean so much to me. To have someone that is so important to you avoid you, call your gifts stupid and damage them, an- and to have them hate you is-

[She can't finish. She's choking up because everything hurts and almost nothing is good.]

[She tries, she really tries, to listen to Winry here. She tries hard (thinking of what Sokka said, against all odds) to focus on that alone, what she is saying and not see red. It's hard though. To be fair- it helps that she said "I love you". Tears begin to fall down her face - what bullshit, and she can't even whipe it up because it'll mess her suit up. She's already getting it dirty being on her knees...]

I- I love you. [So much more than you ever thought? No, that would be arrogant, it might not even be true. And it sucks]

[Haruhi's "I love you" calms Winry a bit. I love you. So it's possible Haruhi doesn't hate her. The blond walks forward, and gets down on her own knees.]

You mean it?

How... couldn't I?

[Maybe she hates her too. A little. There's some hate. But it's because of the love]

It... felt like you hate me more than you love me.
