Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

[Hey, that's... a giant rabbit. And some sort of strange mechanical creature? Emil can't help but wander closer to get a better look, pushing his Wonder Chef hat up on his head.]

[Hey, it's a teenage chef! Oswald grins up at him.]

Not just any cow! It's a mechanical cartoon cow.

[I-it's not entirely willing okay but he is kind of having fun with this.]

What's the difference between a cartoon cow and a regular cow?

Cartoon cows were drawn! This one was designed by the greatest cartoonist of all time, you know, just like me!

[knightofratatosk]

Wait, you were drawn? Then... how are you alive? Is it some kind of magic?

[Emil tilts his head for a moment as if considering this, then walks in a circle around the cow to get a better look.]

[kingofwaste]

No, no. It's... [... Actually, he's not sure how to explain this.]

Well, any character who's drawn is alive. That's just how it is! We're just not alive where humans can see us, I guess. Our job is to appear in cartoons and keep people entertained, so that's what we do. We live in the hearts of the fans and the heart of the fans lives in us.

So you're alive but you're not alive when people are around? Or are you alive but only when you're in cartoons or... I'm just making this even more confusing.

[kingofwaste]

Yeah, kid, you are. [He crosses his arms over his chest, nodding sagely.]

Listen, us characters are all alive. All the time. We're born from creative minds and we have our own lives. Cartoons are what make us famous and give us a way into the fans' hearts, but some of us don't go past the design stage.

[Hope you don't mind if he reaches out and touches you just to be sure, then, because that's what he's going to be doing right now. He'll be gentle, though!]

Wow... you really are. That's amazing!

[kingofwaste]

[Nope, he doesn't mind at all! In fact, he's just going to puff up with pride even more.]

Yup, that's right. I am amazing!

[knightofratatosk]

[Now Emil breaks into a smile, pleased and excited by all of this new information.]

I'm Emil! What's your name?

[kingofwaste]

It's Oswald the Lucky Rabbit! But ya can just call me Oswald- everyone does. And you?

[knightofratatosk]

Me? I don't really have a fancy title like that, so just 'Emil' is fine.

[kingofwaste]

Gotcha! Well, it's nice to meet you, Just Emil. [He's kidding, he's kidding.]

[knightofratatosk]

No, no, it's not 'Just Emil,' it's Emil.

[kingofwaste]

[Wow, Oswald didn't think people would actually fall for a classic like that one. He just laughs for a moment.]

I know, I know. It's a joke, kid.
