Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

Hmm. Noishe is a Protozoan, currently in an Arshis form. He's smaller than a horse, although he does stay in the stable.

[Is all of that supposed to mean something to him? Because really all he's going to do is assume it's just something like a horse.] Constructing a pen shouldn't be difficult so long as I have materials. I can have it stabilized in about fifteen minutes.

[She doesn't expect it to, but in any case all the information he needs should be right on that paper, anyway.]

I have the materials, at least. [Wood, pegs, rope, and so forth are nearby.] I hope it's enough.

Should be. [He's going to be busy examining the paper then, getting a feel for what she wants and how to go about it.] I recommend you standing back, by the way.

Hm? Oh, of course. [And she'll nod, and move out of the way so that he can work.]

[If Raine's watching close enough, she'll soon see that Draco charms the paper to hover in front of him so he can look while he works. Soon the materials are rising on their own and Draco's using his wand to start constructing everything. Bit by bit that pen is being built as he's occasionally referencing Raine's notes.]

[She's always fascinated to see magic in action, so she'll study his movements and the results carefully as he works.]

[It's only a short time before the last of the materials are used up and he lowers his wand, stepping back and waving at it with a hand.]

No problem. [Pocketing his wand again and examining his work.] Maybe I should do this more often.

It'll keep your skills from getting rusty.

I hardly think my skills were getting rusty in the first place. I try to use them as much as I can.

Of course they weren't. I simply mean it couldn't hurt, finding more things to do with different abilities.

I've been stretching my abilities out to see what I can accomplish under the powercap. I'm actually quite surprised. I think I'm getting stronger and beating it down a bit.

Or you just weren't as limited as you thought. Hearing the very word 'limitations' can put a damper on the imagination. Thinking outside the box and trying new things can always lead to new discoveries.

Have you made your own discoveries since being here?

Mostly I experiment, so I'm always trying to find something new, whether it has to do with discovering new tricks with elemental abilities or adding more potency to my healing arts. I'm used to handling magic in a spell form, but after learning techniques from the spirits, it's allowed me to be more... free form, with my own abilities. In a sense, I've realized that the limitations are less on pure power and instead affect my durability... quite drastically, at times.

You've mastered all of the spirits' magic, haven't you?

I've 'mastered' what they've been willing to teach me, so now I'm mostly left to finish the learning and experimenting on my own. I'm more proficient with some elements than with others, but everyone is unique in that regard.

What ones are you most proficient in, if you don't mind my asking?

Healing is the one that comes the most naturally, followed by light, earth and wind. [She'd be highly proficient with water if she'd allow herself, but that's an entirely different sort of mental barrier.]

I should start studying with the spirits again. I gave up once everyone left.

It's something constructive to do, isn't it?

I've got a few things on my list of constructive plans, but it's sort of hovering at the bottom.
