Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

Healing magic can be difficult to grasp in some ways because unlike the other elements, it doesn't seem to have an obvious source, and there aren't many opportunities to put it into practice. When studying it, its best to be calm, and in tune with your surroundings... sense yourself, and your life, and the lives of others, around you.

What if I don't particularly care about the others around me?

There aren't any people around you that fit those requirements?

[But her tone goes back to that light, almost distracted tone.] In any case, Nala is a very ... giving spirit. A strong, but forgiving, will. The gift she wants spread to others... her gift of healing, so that others can be healed, in turn. She really isn't that hard to please... but flattery won't get you much of anywhere.

That's...unfortunate, as flattery generally gets me many places. I'll...try other things, then.

If she senses that your desires are genuine, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Tell me. [Subject change, go!] How things are at home. That Albert what's-his-name. [Jack knows his name.] Fabio.

[wise_maiden]

[That was an abrupt change of subject. She blinks a little.] ...? Things are just fine. Albert just returned from a mission. Fabio is well.

He treating you alright?

[wise_maiden]

I thought we agreed that we weren't going to talk about that.

[all7seas]

So that's a no, then?

[wise_maiden]

-- What? No, it's not a no. We get along just fine.

[all7seas]

[Good. That was...good, at least. Maybe this protectiveness is just leftover husbandish proclivities. Maybe he should stop caring about that particular issue. Raine seemed fine with it.]

That's good to know, darling. Forgive me.

[wise_maiden]

... You're forgiven.

[Raine falls quiet for a moment, as they reach the booth, and food is offered. Jack is welcome to fill himself; she's not feeling very hungry. She's steadily growing more preoccupied, as the time passes.]

[Jack does take some food because cheating people at the shell game makes a man hungry. He glances over at Raine.] Not having any, darling?

Hm? I'm all right; I had some earlier, while I was observing their presentation.

[all7seas]

It seems rather delicious-like. Tasty. Don't mind me. [He starts eating.]

[wise_maiden]

Oh, I'm not minding. I can see how you would have worked up an appetite, working with coconuts all day.

[all7seas]

Preying upon the simple-minded DOES make a man peckish, eh? [And he sounds completely unapologetic about this.]

[wise_maiden]

You'd know it better than I would, really. Still, I should be glad that you decided to participate at all.

[all7seas]

Participate? Is that what I'm doing? [That sounded so.....tame. Not pleasing at all!]

[wise_maiden]

... in a very loose sense of the word. You're here, after all.

[all7seas]

So I can earn participation points with you, dearest Raine, just for showing UP?

[Oh wow it is so EASY!]

That's the idea. The point after all, was to give villagers a chance to experience aspects of others worlds that they wouldn't usually encounter on a daily basis here. Or at least, if it was the case, it offers some more insight onto those things.
