When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it
Where: All around the town square

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

Sorta. It's like a visual illusion- like a magic trick. The drawings don't really move, it's just that it'll look like they do.

Oh. [Slightly disappointing... but still interesting.] ... You enter... e-enter... tain... by moving drawings... u-uh, I mean, uh, flipping... drawings s-so they look... l-like they... move? [He did get that right, didn't he?]

[kingofwaste]

Uhhh... Yeah, that sounds about right! [It's not really Oswald who entertains by flipping the drawings, rather he's in the drawings, but... Close enough.]

[tailasoldastime]

A... al... alright. [He thinks he has it... now he's looking back over at that strange cow.] What is that?

[kingofwaste]

[Ahah! Oswald waddles over to the cow to pat it on the back.] This... is my very own mechanical cow! It's like a cow, except made outta metal parts.

[tailasoldastime]

[He moves closer to it, examining said metal parts.] What does it do?

[kingofwaste]

She does what any cow does! She gives milk!

[The coow moos lazily and sits down on its rear, blinking. It may have started the day off enthusiastic, but now the poor creature is starting to grow tired.]

Well, that and she's my pal.

[tailasoldastime]

[His eyes nearly pop out of his head when she moves again, even if he already knew she could move. Now that he's paying better attention to her, he can see exactly how she moves... it's almost like a real animal but... not...]

This... th-this thing can give milk?

[kingofwaste]

Whoah, whoah whoah. She ain't a thing. She may be made of metal, but she's every bit a real cow!

[He pats the cow on its back, causing a resounding, hollow sound. It's just like knocking on a real milk tank. The cow doesn't seem to mind too much.]

[tailasoldastime]

Alright, fine, she's a... real... cow. [He doesn't sound very much like he believes it, but the cow is interesting nonetheless. The sound she makes with that tank is pretty fascinating...]

[kingofwaste]

Thanks! Hey, you want some milk? [He's got a mug lying around here somewhere...]

[tailasoldastime]

Milk? Uh... alright. [He hasn't had milk for drinking in a while, actually...]

[kingofwaste]

Great! [He walks over to the booth to grab the mug, then returns to the cow's side to prod it.]

C'mon, up you get. You've got a customer!

[The cow yawns widely and blinks its eyes for a moment, but then it gets to its feet anyway.]

[tailasoldastime]

[He stares quite intently at this strange machine that is yet a "real" cow. Its movements are a little unnerving in how real yet not-real they are, but... it's still a "real" cow...]

[kingofwaste]

[Oswald is mostly oblivious to the Beast's amazement. He places the mug underneath the cow's udder and then moves to stand behind her, grabbing a hold of her tail. He gives it a good tug so it straightens itself out, then begins moving it up and down like it's the lever of a pump. A few seconds later, milk begins to pour out of the udder in a neat little stream, slowly filling the mug up.]

[Oh my... eyes widening now as he sees this fascinating cow do her work. The movement on the tail definitely looks strange, but she really does make milk! How does that happen?]

[kingofwaste]

[A few moments later, Oswald releases the cow's tail and reaches down the grab the mug again. Yup, it's now full of delicious (and somehow cold) milk. He holds it out for the Beast to take.]

Here ya go!

[tailasoldastime]

[That was quick. He is a little hesitant at first, just looking at the mug and its contents - this is normal milk, right? - before tenderly accepting it.]

[Oh yes, it's very normal milk. Oswald will just grin proudly and wait for the Beast to drink it.]

[tailasoldastime]

[Hm... well, it looks normal... he won't know unless he tries it, right? Alright... tentatively taking a sip from the mug...

The coolness is the first thing he notices, but the second thing is that... it really is milk. Milk from a machine-but-real cow... it's been a long while, but he can definitely tell that it's milk! The expression on his face tells it best, plus how enthusiastically he drinks more, but he does say to Oswald a quite happy:] It's... i-it's amazing!

[Oswald's learned by now that other residents of Luceti are easily impressed by cartoon logic. They should be- that's the whole point of cartoon logic. To inspire awe with the audience.

So ultimately, he's just happy with a job well done.]

[It doesn't take long for him to finish the mug, and then he... just continues holding it awkwardly. He gives it back, right? He probably shouldn't take it, he doesn't really need it anyway... Alright, he's slowly handing it back to Oswald, still smiling slightly and giving a firm:] Thank you.

[Man, he even got the Beast to thank him. He's on a roll, today. He takes the mug and throws it back to the booth. It lands on the flat surface where, after some unsteady wobbling and twirling, it comes to a perfect standstill.]

[Ping - he sees that mug get tossed and immediately gives all his attention to its movement. He sort of unintentionally freezes when he notices how smoothly it ends up on the booth, not falling over or anything. Amazing.]
