The Cultural Fair
Who: Everyone! Or as close to that as possible, please. \o/
What: The Cultural Fair
When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it
Where: All around the town square
Summary: Also here.
Rating: ... is this a thing?
Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.
I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!
(Also, please add your name tags!)

One, True Cross excels at giving students the proper learning environment so that they learn at a steady pace and are soon on their way to becoming fully proven exorcists, but without too much stress which you might find in another sort of 'exam factory' style branch.
Two, the teaching staff are... [Neuhaus.] Well qualified and are hand picked by Sir Pheles himself so to ensure all classes and students perform to the best of their abilities.
Three, teamwork is highly encouraged throughout your time studying at True Cross, meaning by your first official mission out in the field you would already understand the importance of working together with others to meet the same goal. This not only applies to missions but this knowledge passes over into the 'real world' as well.
[These three points don't apply to his own class at all because it seems everything just has to go tits up more often than not for the cram school. But the classes that aren't his are definitely more like these points!]

So you're telling me you completely understand the importance of teamwork before you're even tested on it?
[A light, probing question.]
/brief jack
Actually, we got tested pretty early.. To become an Esquire - which is basically a trainee, but better than a Page - you needed to pass this exam where we [or well everyone but him] had to work together.
no subject
So you're tested - on teamwork.
[...you know, this sounds kind of sketchy.]
How old are you two again?
no subject
[He's not going to go into questioning Mephisto's motives and whatever it is he has planned in the grand scheme of things. Sir Pheles isn't here, there's no need to mention it, even if he notices Rin's expression change.]

[Another small sip of soup.]

It does well to start at a young age, you pick things up faster and learn to adapt sooner than if you tried learning such things later on. Not to say there aren't any middle aged or older exorcists out there.

[The only real downside being you're stuck seeing demons for life if you drop out.]
no subject
So what made you decide to sign up? Where I'm from, fighting demons isn't exactly a normal career path.
[Although neither is it completely unheard of, especially in her house.]
1/2 (Yukio after this)
We didn't have a choice, really-
[But no doubt Yukio will cut him off before be blabs about their heritage issue. because he is about to]
2/2
[And it has nothing to do with Satan and his son or anything like that.]
no subject
Yeah? I guess I can understand that.
[Or at least - she can understand why children would want to.]
no subject
[And again, nothing to do with Satan. Nope.]
