Who: YOU AND ME! THAT SPELLS... MOUYE?
What: More event shenanigans

Where: All around Luceti. Actually that's wrong. Anywhere INSIDE Luceti.
Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a second log so people can change up their effects and try something new, jump into the event late, or just avoid the impending CAPTCHA on the first log.

Then it's...probably not tel-e-porting. [She is learning to pronounce that word better!!] But...ugh, I can't think of anything else it could be!

Well, I could probably get a look from the top of this tree [fern? big... green thing] but...

[That would be leaving her alone]

[She looks up...not the same "tree," because that would involve looking in his direction. ...That's really high. That's a lot of distance away from someone who can deal with monsters.

She takes a few moments to respond.]

...I'll follow you.

[Because if she's behind he probably won't be looking at her, and she is willing to risk his dignity, such as it is.]

I was going to just jump but... [... You know whatever. He nods, and then goes to start to climb up -- this blade of grass]

[...She shouldn't be surprised at anything a guy who can burst into flames can do, but:] You can jump that high?

[It's only due to living in Luceti this long that she only sounds somewhat doubtful. She follows after him carefully, starting to have second thoughts over this as she discovers how little purchase it has. Still, for now, it works, so she should at least follow as far as she can.]

In my demon form, yeah, for sure. [~~I forgot if he had his sword or not...I don't think so...~~ But man, this tree doesn't have a lot of groves. It's sort of awkward to climb. But he keeps it up! His tail is probably dangling down on her tho and he is looking up at him mostly naked sans boxers]

[While she had kind of picked up on this "demon" thing through long exposure -- though mainly her week thinking she was his classmate and the events around that -- it's not really a topic she's considered closely while her normal self, since she never replied when he admitted over the journals to being Satan's son. So she's still not over her own world's ideas of demons, which are much less varied than his world and tend to be used to describe particularly ugly monsters.]

...You're really not shy about that, are you?

[Also she is totally not looking up at his nakedness!! ...When she can. There's kind of a limit when she is climbing after him and also having her eyes caught by the tail.]

Not really. [He admits that easily enough too, climbing as he goes and frowning to himself as he makes his headway further up the fern-tree thing] I mean, it's really more like I'm no good at lying. 'Bout what I'm doing or what I guess I was born as. Besides, what I am's an exorcist.

[She frowns a bit -- not that he can see -- when he describes it as lying. So what does that make it when she keeps hiding her own species? Not that it's anything like being a demon, or so she views it.]

So, you're -- [She makes a "hup" sound as she starts to slip a little, but she catches herself pretty quickly.] -- defined by your job, then. I didn't take you for the professional sort.

Being an exorcist ain't a job. It's a calling, or a way of life. [Inhale, and...] It's the path my dad put me on.

[At that last part, her eyebrows raise and she shoots a look up at him -- though she regrets it and returns her gaze to her hands pretty quickly when she sees his state of dress again.]

Didn't you say your father was that...really...? [She is having trouble finding a good word for it, but it probably won't matter if Rin replies within a few seconds of her trailing off. If he doesn't, she will settle on "nasty guy." Possibly better than "evil," given he was sounding a little more like he liked his father here than when he was explaining who that...satin guy was. (Her vague exorcist memories correct it to Satan after a moment.)]

[He senses what she's going to say, and cuts her off in a strong voice. This next part is said resolutely.] Shiro Fujimoto. The exorcist - the Paladin. That's the man who raised me, and it's the guy who's my actual father. It's his name I'm gonna make sure everyone knows, and I'm gonna make sure they know I wasn't his mistake. I'm gonna become Paladin myself, and I'm gonna kick Satan's ass.

Ah. [She nearly apologizes, but...well, that's not really her style. It's not like she could have known better, right? After a moment of thinking, she sighs.]

I don't really remember what a Paladin is -- [it would normally be that she doesn't know what it is, but the vague exorcist memories bouncing around in her head subconsciously change it to remember] -- but...I'll wish you luck with that, I guess.

[She pauses for a moment before continuing on with an even more irreverent tone.] Though you'll have to learn to use those weird powers of you for things other than destroying people's clothing.

[Of course, she knows that he can use it for more than that, although she's never told him about her time in his world. Then again, presumably Shiemi did.]

Come on, I've gotten better with them! [He actually, nearly loses his grip as he jerks his head around to look at her, flushed an indignant. And then sees some boobies, gulps, and then turns his head again to look straight up]

[Luckily for him, she isn't looking up at the time and thus does not lecture him for doing what she did a few moments ago (except with less boobage).]

It's not like I have any way of knowing that. Besides, I wouldn't call this better enough.

[He huffs, but doesn't argue that, instead just climbing this tree more. He can almost see the canopy- nearly there! Wow the sky is huge]

[Fenimore can't see the end in sight herself, since looking up involves looking at boxers, so after a moment of silence, she asks:]

Does this thing ever end? I don't even want to think what would happen if we got tired and slipped. [She actually has had a couple of times where she's felt herself nearly slipping, but she's had enough tree-climbing experience in her youth that she hasn't had anything too dangerous happen yet.]

Not that much further! I can see the sky, and the top. ...The top's just a point though, that's weird.

[Don't most trees like expand up at the top? Jeez]

[She begins to look up, but remembers what else is above her and stops herself in time.]

I'm starting to think that this isn't a tree. It's not like any tree that I've ever heard of before. [Though then again her knowledge is mostly limited to temperate climates.] Maybe someone built it. ...Whatever it is.

[Though it does feel pretty organic....]

But it feels like a plant. Can you build a plant too? [And he manages to get there, close to the top. He can see the sky! It's so... intense and big. Wow]

I -- [She's about to express her extreme doubt, but she stops herself and actually thinks about it.]

...How should I know? I didn't think people could make something like the battle dome, and it's around ruining my view. [She means the holograms, not the building itself.] May --

[The problem with not looking up at him is that she doesn't notice when Rin stops. So, as she continues to crawl up without looking in his direction, she eventually headbutts his boxers. She recoils pretty much instantly, but that's not so good for her balance and she starts sliding back down.

She'll eventually be able to stop on her own if left alone. But for now, she squeaks as she starts sliding.

[He understands what she's saying about the Dome. sort of, anyway - it's a pretty impressive thing!

-then he feels that and yelps himself, briefly loosing his grip. He gets it back quick (probably hitting her with his tail in the process) but then he turns to looks down at her again, alarmed.]

Oi, you okay?!

[She flinches when his tail hits her and she slides quite a ways, but she does get a grip shortly. She also looks up.]

Ye -- [and then, as her brain catches up with her, she looks back down again] -- yeah. I'm okay.

Good! ...Sorry about that!

[:T And now he forces himself not to look at her and look up at the sky again. Craaap. ] The sky's big.
