Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a second log so people can change up their effects and try something new, jump into the event late, or just avoid the impending CAPTCHA on the first log.

[ .. Oh no. This is tiny Ami, and she's stuck like this herself-- does she tell her?! No way right, it would break her brain, probably! So.. okay, time to.. pretend to be Yotsuba! She can do that. Totally. Try to be smooth here, Usagi.. ]

That's right! Usagi is a good friend of mine! She lets me ride her back and runs into trees! [ .. this is already awkward, BUT SHE WILL GO ON. ]

[waterfell]

[Runs... into... trees?]

Runs into trees? I hope no one was hurt. [Ami sounds rather unsure of this, because it's sort of unsettling to see her big-sister figure in that clumsy light. And yet...]

[looneys]

[ and yet it completely makes sense, right. ]

Yeah, into trees! And don't worry, we were just fine! We were just stuck in a green forest [ okay, no, it was just a bush but she's making it sound less like a random clumsy action.. ] but we found our way out! It was like an adventure!

[waterfell]

[Perfect, perfect sense. Usagi, when will you grow up and become mature and coordinated?]

It sounds like a very big adventure. Did you have a lot of fun?

[looneys]

[ never. it's why she can act like a five year old perfectly.. ]

Yup, I sure did! Don't you think Usagi is the best? [ see, she can even promote herself this way, this is perfect. ]

[waterfell]

[Ami falls for it hook, line, and sinker. She smiles quietly; her feelings for Usagi are a bit too strong to let out entirely.]

She is. Usagi-san is the most wonderful person I know! She's fun to be around and plays with me.

[looneys]

[ Awww yeah, exactly what Usagi wanted to hear. The bright smile looks natural on Yotsuba's face, either way. ]

I knew it! [ .. ah, wait, that's too suspicious-- ] After all, she plays with me too, so.. she must play with a whole lot of people! She makes everyone happy!

[waterfell]

[Praising Usagi is never exactly hard for Ami, and it's only taken knowing her the past few days in this form (and that odd sensation of familiarity) to start all over again.]

Mm. And she's someone everyone likes.

[looneys]

Uh-huh! [ She smiles. ]

But.. you're probably a person everyone likes too, right? You seem really nice! [ time to make bb Ami feel a little better about herself too.. ]

[waterfell]

I don't really have friends. [It'd be more precise to say she has no friends; but that's a bit of a dismal thought even for her.

And it might be becoming untrue, now that she's met some of the children here.]

[looneys]

.. Huh, you don't..? Someone as nice as you? That's so weird!

[ she waves. ] That means we can become friends too, right? [ not that they aren't already, but Ami is friends with Usagi and not 'Yotsuba', after all.. ]

[waterfell]

I'd like that. [She may not be expecting it to last, but it's nice.]

[looneys]

Great, then it's a deal! Now we're friends!

[waterfell]

[How very like Usagi! What a coincidence.]

We are? [To Ami, especially at this age, it's never been quite that easy, and she has to confirm it.]

[looneys]

[ Clearly just a big coincidence. This isn't Usagi, not at all. Nope siree. ]

Of course we are! Don't tell me you don't want to be friends!

[waterfell]

I do want to be friends. [She does, desperately. She just hadn't been confident the other girl would want it, too.]

[looneys]

See, then it's settled for sure, right? If you want to be friends and I want to be friends, there's nothing stopping us! Nothing at all!

[waterfell]

It's settled. [Ami possibly couldn't be happier with the biggest chess prize in the world.]

What should we play?

[looneys]

Um.. well, I like any sort of game! [ She giggles - it's true, after all. ]

Don't you have a favourite game you love to play?

[waterfell]

[Yotsusagi, you asked for it.]

I like chess. Papa's been teaching me to play.

[looneys]

[ .. NO, WALKED RIGHT INTO THE TRAP.. She sucks at chess, oops, how does she cover up this fact now without seeming weird.. have the most awkward answer. ]

A-.. ah.. chess, is it..?

[Yotsuba doesn't seem particularly thrilled with the idea, so Ami hastily backtracks in her effort to go along with Yotsuba.]

A lot of other games can be fun, too. What ones do you like?

[looneys]

Well.. anything that isn't as complicated! [ Genuinely said, since that's totally Usagi's own preference.. ]

Games are no fun when you have to think too much, right?

[I like that kind of game!

No, wait. Better to agree.]
