Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

O...kay. [Part of her still wants to leave. Go back to her room where no one else can see her. But regardless of the how, this kid still knew Tara by sight.

That, if nothing else, keeps her standing awkwardly near him, though she avoids eye contact for the most part.]

So, you...know Buffy, huh? [Yes, let's turn the conversation to her friends. Maybe answers lie in that direction.]

Yeah, ah... she helped me when I first showed up here. To be honest, I thought this was all some kind of fictional nightmare.

[Considering his current situation, it's hard to believe that isn't actually true.]

It...can give off those vibes, yeah. [Take right now, for instance.] If I'd talked to you before instead of Buffy...well, I'd have told you it doesn't get that bad. [She scoffs.] And then this happened.

[It's pretty obviously sarcasm, what with how miserable he looks about it. Still, being Teddy right now presents a unique opportunity- a chance to perhaps breach the Tara issue again without being obvious or suspicious about it.]

[Hold on. What was it Buffy had said back at the house? Turning people into who they love?

[It's a dry tone- he can't really help it. Heck, she probably knows exactly how he's feeling right now- if not worse, depending on... well. Canon point or timeline or whatever he gets to call it in his head. The episode she's from.

Seems that way. Just, ya know, if you had any doubts about the Malnosso being, well...heartless.

[She feels bad for the kid, she does. She can't help but wonder...he said "boyfriend," but nothing hinting at...well. Teddy might...still be alive, at least.]

It really does. My first one wasn't...well, it wasn't this bad.

Um....will you be okay? Do you....need anything? [Company? Someone to talk to more? Call it a hunch. Call it gut instinct or some odd sense of kinship. But for some reason she feels bad just leaving him like this.]

[He fidgets a bit, hesitating, then glances over at her. It's probably been even longer for Willow. It's not like he can just outright say that he gets it, or explain how much he knows, but... well, he's watched a lot, and read a lot, and it's- it's more than a fanboy thing, now that she's real. Now that he's witnessing a lot more than just a fictional TV show.]

...Do... you wanna get something to eat? I'm kind of hungry.

[Maybe talking will help. It's supposed to help, right? And if it gets weird or awkward it's not like she can't just ditch him. Or. Feign some other responsibility and politely excuse herself. This is Willow after all.]
