Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a second log so people can change up their effects and try something new, jump into the event late, or just avoid the impending CAPTCHA on the first log.

[ She makes a slightly scared noise at the 'going to die' part, don't even vaguely mention that, Yoh..! But she understands the feeling, she wouldn't know what to do if he would suddenly vanish too. She cares about him too much for that. ]

Let's hope everything stays fine then, right..?

[He at least has the decency of realizing his wording and making an apologetic expression, but being able to see spirits makes Yoh quite... "Hey there" regarding death, even if he knows not everyone else can see spirits. Of course he knows the weight of death and how it affects things and he doesn't want to die, but it's part of life and he knows it's not the end so between dying and vanishing in thin air? He prefers the first and thus has little problem talking about that.]

There's no need for that, remember? Everything is going to be alright, specially since we're together.

[Yoh's motto, even in this alternate universe, stays the same and with the same strength and conviction as always. It's that motto that gives him strength to go on everyday, that gave him strength to not crash to the ground when their parents vanished and to just stand up and take his sister with him. Sooner or later, things will always be alright.]

[ She knows it's because of that, really, and she knows of his ability. It's just.. still different to her since she doesn't have the ability herself, but sometimes she's already a little used to it.

And.. he wouldn't mind, right? At least she hopes he wouldn't mind what she's about to do next. She was so worried before that right now she just wants to be close to her brother for a moment, so she tries to hook arms with him as much as she can while they're still carrying the bags and other things. She doesn't say anything along with it, but she gives him a smile. Of course.. as long as they're together, it's fine. ]

[There's no way he would mind it. Yoh blinks a bit surprised for a moment at her movement, but it lasts just a few seconds until he realizes what she's doing. After that he just smiles peacefully, shifting the bags and hooking his arm with hers as much as possible as well, tugging her just a bit closer.

There's nothing else he could wish for, really. To just continue on with those peaceful days together with his sister, even if it's just them both. Then again they really aren't that alone, they still have family left and there's Amidamaru. The samurai does as much as he can to help even if he's just a spirit and Madoka can't see him, and he cares about them both a lot. Sure, it would be nice if their parents returned but... It's not needed and Yoh doesn't want to wish for things that aren't needed, not when there are others who really need those things. It wouldn't be fair to ask for more when happiness is already in his home.

He continues walking, arm hooked with hers for as long as she wants, or at least until they reach the house. He won't say anything else, just enjoying her company, the walk and the village's beauty in that way he likes to bask in even the smallest things. She's free to talk though and he will answer, but if not they will just do the rest of the way back home in silence.]

[ Madoka is okay with walking silently and just enjoying the mood and surroundings, really. Normally she might be a little more chatty, but.. there's almost something special about today, maybe it's since the scare that happened this morning turned out to be nothing.

She isn't going to let it be completely quiet though. After a little while, she softly starts to sing a song to herself. It's a little of a sad song lyrics-wise, but tone-wise it's pretty happy and nice. Originally she wrote this song in Luceti and sang it together with Homura, but.. with this kind of changed AU she probably wrote it instead on her own after their parents disappeared. It's a pretty nostalgic song in that sense, but it actually reminds her too of how she's at least still together with Yoh. And together.. it's fine. ]

Saying, "See you later," I wave my hand, forcing myself to smile, yet I'm feeling lonely...

[Yoh remembers this song in this life, and when she wrote it. It's a sad song, but it also depends on how you look at the lyrics, with eyes full of hope or eyes full of sadness. Yoh prefers to think positively and he's sure Madoka does as well which is probably why, despite the sad lyrics, the tone is pretty happy and nice. Yoh starts to hum softly as she sings, appreciating her singing voice and the moment of walking around together like this. A perfect moment even if one that started under awkward circumstances. Eventually he doesn't just hum, instead casually joining her voice softly.]

[ She almost seems a little surprised at first to hear him singing too - a slight glance in his direction with the surprise practically written on her face.. but then she just happily accepts it and sings along with him. It's the one thing that can make them feel closer even now, after all, and it's just.. such a nice feeling.

When the song is done, she giggles softly, even if it slightly lacks power. ]

You memorized all the lyrics, Yoh..?

It's the song my little sister wrote, of course I would memorize them. They aren't so hard to learn either.

[If he had his hands free he would pet her head a bit but he can't so, sorry Madoka but you'll have to do as it is now.]

[ It's okay, she's smiling even without headpats. She's glad, after all. ]

Hehe, you didn't have to, though, but.. either way, I'm really glad you know them. I really like this song, after all..

I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to. It's a good song and I like it, just as anything you do. It's not a problem that your big brother tries to memorize the songs you like, is it?

O-.. of course it's not a problem! I was just surprised since it takes a little effort to memorize them, right? So I couldn't just expect you to do it, but.. it's a good thing, so I'm glad. Singing together is nice..

It doesn't take that much of an effort if you're really interested, and if the song is good it's easy to memorize it, really.

[Yoh laughs as they arrive, opening the door and letting her enter first.]

[ Once she's inside she can at least put down her things. Yes, that's right, this place feels much more familiar than the one she woke up in.. It really is a relief to be home at this point. ]

Ah, we made it.. Now everything's normal again for sure.

[Yoh smiles, setting the bags aside, they will get on that later. First though, there's food. He walks to her and ruffles her hair with a hand affectionately.]

Welcome back home, Madoka. We missed you.

[Even if it was for a few moments. The house had felt not quite home while she was gone.]

What do you want for breakfast?

Hmm, sorry. [ She can't help but smile though at the hairruffle - she doesn't try to straighten it until afterwards, but she still seems content. ] To.. well, the both of you.

[ even if it's still a little strange to think of it that way, even after all this time. ]

And something simple is fine. Do we maybe have some eggs..?

Yes, we do. Do you want an omelet with some rice?

[He leads the way to the kitchen, followed by Amidamaru and hopefully by her as well.]

That'd be fine! It wouldn't take too long to make either, right? [ oh, of course she's following him. Still smiling a little too. ]

No, it won't. Though time isn't really an issue, is it? I think school is still canceled due the shift.

[He starts to prepare the kitchen to make her breakfast.]

What do you want to take care of? The omelet or the rice?

I'll do the rice! .. Unless you wanted to do the rice after all, hehe.

You're right about the time thing though, I just didn't want to take up too much time of the day with just the strange thing that happened to me and then the breakfast..

You can do the rice.

[If he had wanted to do something specific he wouldn't have asked you what you wanted to do, silly sister.]

Well I can't think of anything better to spend my time in besides helping you settle back at home. So I don't mind how long it may take us.

'Helping me settle'.. that's making it sound a little big, isn't it? [ a giggle. ] After all, only this strange thing happened, it's not like I've been gone for long or something like that.

So? You still were gone and are back now. Maybe we should throw up a party or something to celebrate that you're back and unhurt.

A whole party just for that? Hehe, what won't everyone else think..?

I don't think there are many who actually care what a party is about as long as there's one.

You're at least right about that. If there's more strange stuff going on right now I'm sure people would like something happy to calm them down either way, I'm sure.
