[Another someone is coming in injured, are they? Mia turns to look as a robot - how used to that she was, already - brings him to a bed. She recognizes him now as someone who's been helping here, there, and everywhere. This whole situation became a handful about a day ago and he's taken some of the weight off with his abilities.

So to see him like this is, mildly, a bit of a shock.

Mia doesn't waste any more time, drawing closer to look over his injuries and get a sense of his condition. A nasty gash and a bloody nose that doesn't look like it came from an impact.

If his rescuer is still there, she'll ask if he knows what happened. If not? Her first focus is stopping the bleeding that bandage just can't catch.]

[Billy had passed out somewhere in the middle there, so at first he's unconscious. When she starts to go to work, however, he stirs again and cries out quietly, eyes snapping open as he tries to sit up on the bed.]

Where's--!

[Wait.

Huh?]

...what the... where's...

Stay still.

[Even in his condition she doesn't think she could physically hold him there without actually freezing him in place. And that's no good for anybody.]

I'll be done soon.

[Billy winces again, slumping back against the pillow, though he does lift his eyes to watch her. What's she doing...?]

S... sorry. Kind of disoriented here...

I know. [Mm, no she didn't, not until just now. It makes sense though. The odd focus of his eyes confirms it.]

You were injured. May I finish healing you? [Only because she thinks it's safe to give him the choice. Her preference is apparent - one gloved hand hasn't left the air around his injury.]

You can heal? [Oh, that's what she was doing... okay. That's okay. It sinks in after a moment, and then he nods wearily, eyes closing, though he doesn't pass out again. That's the last thing he needs.] Ah... sure. Thanks.

Mm. Please try to stay awake.

[All she's addressing with this is the cut in his side. It won't go away completely - a sign of Mia's own exhaustion more than any limits put upon her by being in space - but it shouldn't cause trouble for him if he wants to move around a little. She or someone else can heal it further after he's had some time to rest.]

I am afraid I didn't catch your name.

[His exhaustion comes from the abuse of his magic more than the injury, although it certainly isn't helping. He nods again, though, doing his best to keep himself conscious as he waits for her to finish. It's already feeling better.]

Oh, sorry... I'm Billy. Nice to meet you.

[It takes a little longer, talking while working.]

What happened to you?

[Whoa, that's... a weird feeling. He's never been healed by magic before, so it's a pretty cool experience.]

I got hit. It... ripped my suit. I almost didn't make it back...

[That's had about all she can give it, for now. He's answering okay, and didn't say anything about an injury that might result in a bloody nose. Mia puts a cloth in his hand and moves it to his face for him - here, something to do - so he can keep busy while she puts a better bandage on what remains of his larger injury.]

You'll be just fine. And you did make it back. What sort of soldier was it, that hit you?

Um... a big one? [He rubs sorely at his forehead, lips pursing. It's kind of hard to remember, now. His head's too fuzzy.] Sorry, I've never done this before.

That's all right. [She starts to move more slowly, looking at Billy's eyes while she talks to him. Her voice gets softer and less crisp, too.]

Can you tell me how you feel?

Um... dizzy, mostly. But it doesn't hurt as much anymore...

[Definitely a good sign. Billy rubs a hand over his mouth, the back of it brushing by his noise, and then glances at his fingers when he feels them come away damp. Blood...?

Haha... talk about nostalgia trip. Haven't had a nosebleed since Kessler.]

Did I get hit...? I don't remember...

[When had that happened?]

You don't have any injuries that suggest you did.

[Not remembering isn't the best sign. It takes just a minute to clean up his face; she'll hope the nosebleed has stopped on its own.]

You've also done quite enough bleeding to be dizzy. [If he were a typical person, at least.] It must have been a hard hit, to go through your space clothing that way.

Yeah, looks that way. [Billy winces, sucking on the back of his fingers for a moment to clear off the blood. Kind of gross, but he hates the way it looks, so it's marginally better than leaving it alone. Not like he can do anything else right now, either.] Almost didn't make it back to the ship.

[Yes, he's still here, but not for long. Just long enough to make sure no more supplies need to be picked up. After that it's back to ambulance duty. But he will stick around to answer Mia's questions.]

[She saw them come in, so she knows who to approach to clear up a few mysteries.]

Excuse me. May I ask you a few things?

[At the sound of her voice, Canti freezes. She's talking to him? He slowly turns, and points at himself with one hand, as if to say, 'Who, me?']

[A nod to him, and then another in Billy's direction.]

Do you know what happened to cause his injuries?

[He follows her gaze to Billy, lying in bed. The joints throughout his body falter slightly with guilt. He doesn't know what happened, and he wasn't there to do anything...

Turning back to Mia, Canti shakes his head, a clear 'no.' He next pats his side, and more slowly his head. He's only aware of the known and suspected injuries, but he has to ask...]

How bad is it?

He needs to rest and be careful, but he'll be fine. ...I asked because he shows signs of a head injury without any actual injury. It's all right if you were not there.

[There could be something she can't see (though it's rare to find something that isn't picked up while she uses Psynergy) and they don't have all the means available here that they do in the village.]

[Canti visibly relaxes. He worries about everyone he brings to the hospital, and hearing they'll be ok is the best way to de-stress. He is worried about the possible head injury, but Billy is conscious and talking, which is a good sign.]

Thank you for what you have been doing. [Talking to a mechanical man was weird at first, but you can get used to a surprising amount of weird things.] You've been wonderful.

[Giving a quick salute, Canti turns to leave. It's been a long day, but he has even more to do. There are a lot of people still on the front lines, people who might need help. And help is what he does best.]
