There will be a thread for interacting with NPCs, but they may not all go up at once, so keep an eye out for them.

Note: A log for the events in the village will go up on the 21st, in time for the hurricane and droid incursion.

[But not before the image of Gold fades, and her mother's appears instead. She stops dead in her tracks and is unable to even move at this point. With her leg still raised, she just stares up in shock at her mother's face. It still looks so kind and happy, just like she remembers it. Her "mother" smiles at her, and Crys looks like she's about to just break down.]

[mischiefbreeder]

[The new form the shifter takes on has no effect on Gold, and why should it? It's her dream, and he's a spectator. He's unaffected by her dream... Which means he's the only one that can help her!]

Crys, c'mon! Keep it together! She isn't real! None of this is real!

[kickingcatcher]

[In the moments that Crys was frozen, the Shifter brought out their bladed weapon and ready to strike Crys. Snapping out of it, she barely managed to dodge it, but it was able to leave a large cut on her left arm. She let out a cry, and stumbled back. It closed in on her, but Crys just glared at the opponent.]

Mega, use Razor Leaf! And then Psychic, Xatee! [Small leaves began to rush to the Shifter, and forced him back a ways. And then he was raised into the air, and slammed hard to the ground. Unconscious by this point, the sphere around them dissipates. Arckee helps support Crys, clutching her left arm in pain. Her face is pained, and not just because of her arm. It hurt, having to attack an image of her mother like that.]

[...It's over. She did it. The dream's over and she managed to knock the Shifter out.

...But knocked out's not good enough. He can't let a guy like that wake up. If he wakes up he'll be a danger to Crys--no, to anyone out here. Who knows how many of these guys are running around? Something has to be done about them.

...But Crys comes first. He has to check on her.]

Crys! [He goes running to her side now. She's been hurt...]

[She's shaking. A lot. And the blood runs quickly down her arm, and her Pokemon huddle around her. She turns to Gold, hand still covering the wound, and her eyes are a little panicked.]

G-Gold... I-I... [She can't find the words at the moment. She just bites her lower lip in pain and clutches her arm.]

[mischiefbreeder]

[Gold looks over at Sneasel and nods. The Pokémon nods back, and walks over to the unconscious body of the shifter, covering its claws with ice in a sickle-like shape. It knew what it had to do, and it was fine with it. It felt just as strongly about what that shifter did to Crys as Gold did.

It'd be sure to keep this kill quick, quiet and clean. Meanwhile, Gold was going to tend to Crys. He removes a strip of material from Explotaro's suit, near the neck area where he'd already removed some before for his flames, and walks over to Crys.]

Gimme your arm.

[kickingcatcher]

[Crys notices the silent nod, and as Sneasel walks over, she turns her back the shifter. He just silently nods to Gold, holding out her left arm. The wound starts in the middle of her upper arm, stopping just above the elbow. The blood is still running, but not as bad as before. She stayed silent, in slight shock of everything that just happened.]

[Gold takes the strip and wraps it around the wound. It's not enough to cover the whole thing, but it should be good enough to at least slow the bleeding.]

We need to get you some help, pronto.

[kickingcatcher]

[She looks up and nods slowly.] We can take Arckee to get to the infirmary.

[He's already next to them, crouched down to let them get on better. She carefully raises herself onto her Pokemon, waiting for Gold to follow. There's about a million things she wants to say, but can't find the words.]

[mischiefbreeder]

[Gold decides to get on top of Explotaro, Aitaro and Sneasel hopping on with him.]

I'll take the lead.

[He's not sure what to say to her. He knows what he saw there... But he doesn't think it could be true.]

[kickingcatcher]

Arckee, just follow Explotaro. [He gives a nod as Crys puts her other two Pokemon away in their balls. For now, she tries to subtly hide her face behind Arckee's fur, just in case she starts crying.

Which is bound to happen at some point.]

[Gold still feels unsure about what he saw there. Just... everything. Are the Third Party really capable of doing things like that? Could the Malnosso do something like that too?

He glances back at Crys.]

...You gonna be okay?

[kickingcatcher]

[She dozed off, getting lost in her own complicated maze of thoughts right now. It took her a few moments to realize he said something. She lifts up her head a little, and gives a small nod.]

Y-yeah... I just need to get my arm looked after. [She knows he meant it in another way, but let's hope this way will let her get by.]

[mischiefbreeder]

...Okay. I'll get you help, Crys, so just hang tight.

[He doesn't want to fight with her over it.]

[kickingcatcher]

I will. [Her voice gets a little quieter.]

Thank you. F-for everything, I mean. [It's not much but she at least gives a small, yet grateful smile in in thanks.]

[mischiefbreeder]

[He gives her a side-grin.]

Of course. I told you I'd be there for you, didn't I? When do I ever not follow through on my promises?

[kickingcatcher]

[She shakes her head.] Never. You always do.

[mischiefbreeder]

You're damn right. Now let's get goin'.

[kickingcatcher]

Mhm, sounds good. [She gives him another brief smile before flopping her face into Arckee's fur. Okay, she's getting pretty exhausted.]

[Yeah... Sounds good. Okay, charge, Explotaro. Let's get the hell out of here.]

[Yeah, you just keep going after him, Arckee. And try to make to Crys doesn't fall off because she might pass out.]
