I've been chillin' out on a star with my 5 star view

There will be a thread for interacting with NPCs, but they may not all go up at once, so keep an eye out for them.

Note: A log for the events in the village will go up on the 21st, in time for the hurricane and droid incursion.

[Inside the dome now and the battle is raging basically everywhere. The General has been cutting a clear swath through the city and Ling has been observing him, but wisely decided avoiding him is the safest thing he can do for his health. Once that winged menace has moved on, Ling's attention moves to fighting on another blocks. It looks like a bunch of weird animals are fighting off some cultists. He won't jump in just yet. He wants to see what the heck is up with this. Who brings their pets to space!?]

[Hey, those are not pets. They are her friends. Crys is standing near her Meganium, Xatu, and Arcanine, ordering attacks for them.]

Mega, use Razor Leaf! Arckee, follow up with ExtremeSpeed! [From the Meganium, dozens of leaves go toward the group of soldiers in front of her. On the Arcanine's end, it dashes around at an incredible speed, taking down enemies in its path.]

[Oh. Someone is issuing commands. He recognizes her too: Crystal. This is not quite what he imagined when she mentioned Pokemon, but they are effective if nothing else. He's impressed.

But while she may have the battle under control for now, there's no point in just watching. So when he sees a cultist flying into the battle, he runs off the building to tackle the cultist in the air, forcing him to the ground where he quickly finishes him off. He gives a nod to Crystal.]

I hope I'm not interrupting.

[She's shocked by his sudden appearance, but gives him a quick smile before telling her Pokemon to look out.]

Not at all. Always good to have some backup.

Well in that case, I'll try not to get in your way too much.

[When some more cultists enter the fray, Ling goes to take care of them himself. He demonstrates no special powers or anything like that, but his skill with the dao blade combined with his acrobatics makes him nigh untouchable, even as he takes on multiple fighters at once.]

[Damn, he wasn't kidding when he said he was good. She's impressed, and then tells Arckee to go ahead with an ExtremeSpeed.]

Believe me, you're not in the way.

[With her special pets, this shouldn't take long at all. He does get thrown off by the pokemon attacks, seeing as he doesn't know what to expect at all, but he recovers quickly. Before long, he'll be finishing off the last of the cultists.]

I think that's all of them.

[Her Pokemon come back to her, and she looks around.] Yeah... they should be gone a while. Thanks again for the help.

[He took a moment to clean his blade before putting it away.]

It looked like you had it under control. Are you out here with anyone else? It's not a good idea going off on your own. Even with your pets.

[Yeah, she didn't need to see that. But at that last comment, she just crosses her arms.]

They aren't my pets! These are my Pokemon, and they're my good friends.

Oh, right. You mentioned that. [Interesting. Sort of. But:] So it's just your four alone?

Yeah. We've been doing okay. I try not to go after the large groups.

Are you sure that's a good idea?

Yes. I trust my Pokemon to look out for me, and they trust I won't push them past their limits.

Well, maybe I'll stick around just a little while longer then.

[Because she seems too much like a nice kid to abandon by herself to get killed horribly once a bigger group of cultists decide to kill her off.]

Thanks. I think I could use someone familiar around, anyway.

Ahh, I knew it, you're falling for me already. [He was just too awesome, wasn't he?]

... no, I'm really not.

Well now's not the time to get into details anyway. [He knows her heart goes doki doki for him.] I can sense a large group just north of here. I can't be sure if it's the cultists or not.
