I've been chillin' out on a star with my 5 star view

Who: All draftees
What: The space battle commences
When: After 3PM on the 19th to the 23rd
Where: In Space! On the Moon!
Summary: The battle finally begins! First there's asteroids to take down, then we finally arrive!
Rating: SPACE

MORE SPACE

All the details you need are here, so read up on it. This didn't get mentioned before, but you can tag the cultists instead of killing them. Details on this are on a previous draft post. Using the scanners are optional!

There will be a thread for interacting with NPCs, but they may not all go up at once, so keep an eye out for them.

Note: A log for the events in the village will go up on the 21st, in time for the hurricane and droid incursion.

Oh, shit. He likes to think that blood can't penetrate his armor, but he doesn't really want to wait and find out if it finds an entrance. He has to knock him back, and fast. It might be an ideal time for a missile, but he doesn't want that deflecting off the General's newly forming armor. So he'll settle for launching a quick, but highly-charged repulsor blast at the General's axe arm.

It worked. The general was knocked back and the axe was shattered. The falling pieces reverted to their original blood form. But now the General had solid armor covering his torso. His arms and legs were still exposed, as was his face. But the best target was out of the question now.

"Your resistance is pointless, Tony Stark."

Well, that's just dandy. So much for blasting him right through the middle. Wonder if he can regenerate limbs, or will ever run out of energy. His blood shifting makes simple attacks seem counter intuitive. He has to catch him off guard somehow.

"Oh good, my reputation precedes me. Then you should know I'm not someone who loses. Ever. I have a pretty good track record."

"Shallow victories in another life mean nothing in this world."

The remainder of the two axes shifted again, this time forming wrist-mounted bladed to cover his fists. Sharp and deadly. Whether or not they would be able to penetrate Iron Man's armor could easily be determined. But they'd definitely pack a punch. And the General was all too willing to make the next move, flying in rapidly with a flurry of blows.

He's really getting tired of this blood shifting thing. Iron Man is able to get his plated arms in front of him before the general's blades can smash into his chest--or worse, the arc reactor. The blades smash into his arms and sent him flying back, hammering a nice dent into the metal plate. Well, that just won't do.

So he dives, banking on the element of surprise again, to latch onto one of the General's legs and force his repulsors jetting behind them, hoping to send them rocketing towards the ground.

The General's massive wings flapped against the descent, slowing it down, but lacking the power to keep them in the air. One mighty thrust and the two were both descending rapidly. Moments later, Iron Man had succeeded, and he was crumpled into the ground. Down, but not yet defeated.

"You were saying?"

Iron Man stands over him, missile at his forearm ready to launch right at the General's head. It's partially a bluff; setting off a blast like this in close proximity to civilians could be extremely dangerous. But the General doesn't have to know just what this shot is capable of. He's just hoping to buy time until the area clears more, because he's hardly expecting this guy to surrender.

He was on the ground. But not defeated. Not even close. The weapons he held dissolved, becoming blood once more, and he threw his hands to the ground beside him. It did not matter if the missile was fire or not. All at once the ground yielded to his command, changing shape all at once to surround Tony Stark and attempt to ensnare him entirely in a perfect restraint.

He doesn't have time to get away. Not entirely. He registers the need to move as soon as the General moves, but even with taking off as quick as he can, the ground is able to ensnare one of his legs. Shit. This was not part of the plan.

The General stands, casting more blood into the ground, which continues to move to try and capture him. His goal? Completely ensnare the metal man. He's too troublesome to deal with in straight combat.

He still has more surprises in his bag of tricks, and that's what he has to count on saving him here. So he activates his wrist laser, projecting a beam to sweep the area and cut clean through anything in its path, three-hundred and sixty degrees. He just needs to break the General's concentration so he get free and back in the air. But if it kills him in the meantime? Yeah, he wouldn't mind that, either.
thirdparty: (General - Angry)

[personal profile] thirdparty 2012-07-01 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
He had enough blood left to raise a shield, moments before the lasers could hit him. The shield soon shattered, but it was enough so that in the end, only his shoulder was clipped by the beam. A new bloody wound appeared. And so too did a new source of power. So while Tony is free and trying to get into the air, the General smears his blood into the ground, transforming it into a multitude of metal chains, all rising rapidly into the air to once again try and capture him.

He glances back down at the General as he tears upwards--gee, used his special one-use laser and they guy doesn't even have the decency to get sliced in half. He knows he should stop making him bleed, but his specialties aren't exactly equipped for that and blunt contact had only gotten him in a tight spot.

He has to count on his speed right now, as he races up towards the top of the dome, shells firing off from his guns to knock the chains out of the sky. He's not about to let himself get caught again. That was too close. And distance will give him time to think. Plan.

The General remained rooted to the ground, watching his opponent hiding in the sky, in plain sight. He had determined this was one situation where his opponent held the advantage in the skies. It would be better then to remain fighting on his own terms. So he let the armor clad man keep the skies. For as long as he could remain there. After all, he had now gained the attention of other cultists. The General did nothing to call them off.

Oh, great. Now there's these guys, too. He could just shoot them down easily enough, but he doesn't doubt for a second the General would just shift their blood into something he could use. Sick bastard. It's a rock and a hard place.

He won't run. But this guy should have been reduced to rubble by now. And he's not. He drops altitude fast, making one last mad-dash effort, repulsors blazing and aimed right at the General's wings.

The General folds his wings behind him, using his own body to shield them. The repulsors tear away at his arms and shoulders, but the torn flesh becomes blood and it in turn covers his arms, his legs, and even his wings. Unless Iron Man changes course, the General intends to deliver a powerful punch to the armored man.
