I've been chillin' out on a star with my 5 star view

Who: All draftees
What: The space battle commences
When: After 3PM on the 19th to the 23rd
Where: In Space! On the Moon!
Summary: The battle finally begins! First there's asteroids to take down, then we finally arrive!
Rating: SPACE

MORE SPACE

All the details you need are here, so read up on it. This didn't get mentioned before, but you can tag the cultists instead of killing them. Details on this are on a previous draft post. Using the scanners are optional!

There will be a thread for interacting with NPCs, but they may not all go up at once, so keep an eye out for them.

Note: A log for the events in the village will go up on the 21st, in time for the hurricane and droid incursion.

Flying types are also weak against Ice and Rock.

Typically, using that tactic is best when you're in a one-on-one situation. If you're overwhelmed by enemies that all strike against your disadvantage, you would want to disable their ability to attack. Obscuring their vision would make it easier for you to attack unseen and dodge their attacks.

[Ice and Rock aren't something he's concerned about, considering the opponent he's thinking about, but he'll keep in mind that frost isn't good for wings and rock crushes them.]

So I need to keep those things here from being able to attack. [Briefly, he wishes for some sort of dirt they could find that they could team up with Whirlwind. That'd obscure their vision.] Do you think you could... I don't know, have one of your partners create some dirt or something? With Soren's wind, they'd never be able to attack.

The enemies at the moment don't use electricity.

[Green's getting out his Pokédex and scanning Soren, getting a good look at it. He's quiet for a moment.]

Electric type Pokémon are weak against Ground types, and nothing else. Usually, it doesn't matter, because electric types are incredibly frail. Most bird Pokémon are able to use something called Sand Attack, which is the type of tactic you're describing. Swellow does not learn Sand Attack at all, and the attack doesn't do any damage anyway.

You're planning to fight someone who has an electric type.

[Chien nods, no use in hiding that bit of info.]

I wasn't aiming for damage anyway, just a distraction or something to get in their eyes like when you throw dirt at someone's face. [Soren is more of a damage liking kind of bird though, and he harumphs at that tactic.]

An alternative is an attack called Double Team. It will increase Soren's ability to dodge attacks, using his inherent speed.

I'm sure he could know how to do it and be taught fairly quickly.

[He's eying that bird! He just might teach you how to teach your Pokémon, Chien.]

[oh yeaaah Silver taught them that during their crash-course the week and such before.]

Soren's a pro at that. Got anything else?

[Because he wouldn't be against learning how to teach Soren on his own, since Silver more or less took care of that. The Swellow'll just perform it right now to show off!]

We'll see. Let's get back into the fight.

[Soren trills in excitement, cocking his head to the side for a moment to listen for sounds and headbutting Chien towards them. This way, this way!]

I got it, I got it, quit shoving me! [Good let's go then ok ok!!!] Soren's good at hearing things, and he says there's some this way.
