Who: Errybody left behind in the village.
What: Thunder and lightning, very very frightening. Plus, a few unwanted visitors...
When: June 19th - June 23rd. The main action will take place on the 21st and 22nd.
Where: All throughout Luceti village and the enclosure.

Here is your village shenanigans catch-all post, Luceti. Goings on with the decoys may of course also happen here! Just make sure everything is coordinated with the group so everyone knows what's up with everyone else. You may use the linked mod post or this to hep facilitate said coordination.

[Lupin nodded, having all ready considered that possibility as well. Any information, even just a little, was better than none however. It was why he called Shikamaru out in the first place...and not Law. The doctor had enough to worry about.]

Makes sense enough. They don't want to risk their own necks over this. The restraints and cell...not a problem. [But the droids were. He was just a man with a gun, and didn't even dream that he could take one of their droids. His skill wasn't in fighting, but running.

If we can escape, that's the easy part. They're a paranoid bunch, so setting off the alarms will be inevitable, and you can expect security to be tight. More droids. Maybe firearms if we get to dealing with anyone who's not a scientist.

Same old, same old then. They work just like any paranoid bureaucracy. We'll just have to be careful and watch out backs.

...Thanks for the clarification then, Shikamaru-san. [Because he was half Japanese, and spoke it as fluently as a native.] This'll be one helluva exercise then, seeing as we're not all familiar with each other's tactics. Talk about faith and trust...

[But knowing that there was at least one smart guy going in was good enough for him. Just having a good plan was enough to tip the scales in their favor.]

[And when you don't always have the advantage of working with your own team, it's something that comes in handy. But more seriously:]

[It'll get better in the future. For now, Lupin just smiles. He wasn't known for trusting anyone except for his immediate team, and even then it was rare that he trusted them completely. When they shoot at enemies and foes alike depending on the day, it was safest to stay sharp.

Winging it can be a good thing sometimes. The less people in on something makes it easier to hide, and there's no better way to leave people in the dark than by working on the fly.

[Shikamaru prefers a plan himself. Even hanging by the seat of his pants he tends to have three or four.

He wonders if this guy is similar or the opposite, given keywords in their conversation today.]

Besides that, how is your disguise coming?

[A combination, but the balance between the two depends on the circumstances. In proper form, he's always prepared, but he has found himself more than a little out of his depth with this situation. He normally works in small teams, or alone, and likes to have as much information as possible available to him at the outset.

In this instance, he has woefully little.

He grins nonchalantly at the question, clearly in his element on that front.]

I've had it done for a few days. It's just some props, really, but it will work.

[Barring the barcodes, that is. He's just working under the assumption that it is a non-issue.]

You'd think that there wouldn't be a ton of costuming supplies around here, but I've been gathering some for a few months now. How are things on your end?

Takes getting creative. [Shikamaru rubs at his chin, agreeing.] My secondary disguise is just about complete now.

[It takes a moment for him to process what Shikamaru means by 'secondary disguise', but the light bulb is obvious when it goes off.]

That's right--you can do spiffy cool magic things, can't you?

[...yes, that is the technical term.]

Ninjutsu.

Yeah, that. I'm only familiar with ninjas from movies, so this should be really cool seeing you in action.

[He's a diehard fanboy at the worst of times, but he knows how to be serious. He quickly recollects himself, grinning.]

Been here for eight months and I'm still not entirely used to the wackiness. This job is going to take a lot of creativity. I hope the others are as on the ball with this.

Heh. [That's good, because Shikamaru's not sure how to respond to that kind of enthusiasm about this.]

I'd rather hope they don't get dragged into it all.

That'd be the best thing to hope for, but it's smart to keep the worst case scenario in mind too. The one, Lestrade...his skills can't be that much different from mine. I dunno about the girl.

[A variable, again. He'd need to put more feelers out later.]

The best case is that none of us get taken and that we've just been forgotten, but we all know that's impossible. Their memories are too long for that to happen.

[He raises an eyebrow, but lets a few of those points pass.]

That'd hardly be the best case, whatever happens. But should we all get taken, our comrades for this are another ninja and a detective, respectively. All in all, their skills would be handy.

Another ninja, huh? That will be handy...
