Summary: Sophie is having her fourth birthday! Come and share in her special day, and have lots of cake while you're at it. ♥
Rating: It's a four-year-old's birthday party. If this goes above G, Grune will come and kick your ass all the way around Luceti. :|
[Children's birthday parties aren't exactly common in Luceti, but this one has turned out pretty well despite the lack of practice. The gang at House 34 and their friends put a great deal of effort into making sure Sophie got the celebration she deserves, and it shows.

The rec centre is decorated up with lots of bright colours, thanks to Rapunzel's creativity and Mac's manual labour, with some interactivity to them, too. The tablecloths are made of giant sheets of paper with colouring supplies provided for the young and the young at heart. There are possibly a few more flowers around than most four-year-olds would have at their parties, but discouraging Grune is hard to do, and they do look nice.

There are games, too--mostly the sorts of things that would be appropriate for a four-year-old, like Pin the Tail on the Donkey or Pass the Parcel. There are balloons about to bat about and balls and blocks to play with, and of course no one would ever steal any spare balloons and make water balloons out of them. Of course not. :|

The food is awesome, of course, and definitely falls on the sweet side of things. In addition to Ryoji's cookies, there's lots to eat--the baking-inclined of House 34 went all out. And of course, there's a giant cake with tons of icing and the message "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SOPHIE!"

As for the birthday girl herself--well, she's looking pretty chill. But anyone who knows her well or looks carefully can tell she's definitely engaged and having a good time...even if she's not the most demonstrative of kids. Luceti, you done good.]

Oh.... Do you?

[She...isn't very good with rhetorical questions.]

I just might have to! Come on over here, Grune. [He starts heading in Grune's direction, ready to lead her back over to the main pinata site.]

All right.

[Grune does as ordered...slowly. But then again, that's pretty much standard for her.]

[Hiro keeps coming, his hand extended towards Grune.] Come along now.

[lostinmyway]

[Grune happily takes his hand and allows herself to be led.]

I'm coming!

[Sophie just watches them. Silly Gee Girl.]

[With that, Hiro leads Grune back to Sophie.] Alright, everybody! Now, how much candy did you two find?

[lostinmyway]

[Sophie holds up her cupped hands to show him. It's not exactly a lot, but too much candy isn't good for little girls anyway.

Grune...well.] Hmm.... Let me see.

[everyonesconfidant]

Oh! Looks like you got a good haul. I managed to get my pockets full. [He reaches into his pockets and pulls out a piece of candy.] How much did you get, Grune?

[lostinmyway]

[Grune looks down at her own hands.]

Oh.... I didn't get any. Oh well.

[Sophie just sighs.]

[everyonesconfidant]

Grune, were you even looking for any? [His tone is still cheerful.] Oh well. I'm sure there wasn't any over there anyway.

[lostinmyway]

[She had been looking! She had just...forgotten a bit.]

Do you think so?

[everyonesconfidant]

Um... yes, I think so. [Patience, Hiro, patience.] Hmm... since it's Sophie's birthday, don't you think maybe she should get the candy?

[lostinmyway]

That's a good idea! Isn't it, Sophie?

["Yeah." Sophie looks very well pleased by this. Hiro is clearly a smart guy.]

[everyonesconfidant]

Good, good! Anyway... are there any baskets around here or something that we could put the candy into? I don't know if all of it will fit in Sophie's hands.

[lostinmyway]

Hmm.... Let me see.

[Grune wanders off again, but fortunately in the direction of the party. Maybe she'll be able to remember her job this time.]

[everyonesconfidant]

[Hiro follows Grune, fairly sure she's heading in the right direction.] You think there are baskets here?

[lostinmyway]

I think so.

[She heads inside and--lo and behold! --the crayons that Grune and Rapunzel brought are in little baskets all over the place. Grune empties one, then brings it outside.]

Here you go, Sophie!

[Sophie knows exactly what to do, and she brings two handfuls of candy forward. ...There's a smear of chocolate by her mouth and a wrapper on the ground. Apparently, she just couldn't wait.]
