Who: Anyone attending Nami's birthday party. /o/
What: ...Nami's birthday party. 8|
When: Evening on the 4th July.
Where: The mikan orchard.
Summary: An impromptu last minute stubborn celebration of something that's fun.
Rating: ...P for pinwheels? 8|a
[Tis a mingling post. Mingle! Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.
Backtag to your heart's content. We apologise for contributing to the glut of birthday posts that is early July. |D Popular month!]

But again, given it is food, and since Nami happens to have a Captain that could have starved Segretar by himself (if not by having summoned Luceti's biggest eaters), she guards it far too jealously.]

[Gestures at the extra food with an amused grin.]

[She almost resembles a guard dog protecting her house, too. Given she needs the food, she also happens to be a big eater.]

He always falls asleep in the middle though.

[She suddenly pities the next enclosure that needs heavyweight fighters.]
Is that man even allowed in Seventh Heaven? ... Nami told me Luffy's forbidden from entering Seventh Heaven.

[--She bolts her head to the side. She thought she saw someone sneaking in.]
Does this count as a scenario for him to save food?

Besides he knows he can just bug me for food if he's really hungry enough and doesn't want to cook for himself. [True story. Plus, he's been sick so unlike Luffy who gets hungrier, Ace's appetite's been a little thinner.]

[Which to be fair, makes sense. Daisy herself knows -- but only the necessary for survival scenarios. And baking.]
...
Being a personal cook for them must be hard...
[Not that she underestimates Keimi's labor, but again, D family.]

It's a toil of love. I used to get Ace food a bunch when we were on the ship. Back before he really trusted us. It was still easier then what with the larger kitchens and multiple chefs, eh.

[If Luffy is kept away from it...]

[It isn't long after Daisy arrives that Nami appears out of the trees with a smile.] Good to see you made it! You want a place to put all that?

ASAP, ma'am.
[... She looks up at the trees. She remembers seeing Luffy up from above.]

She's still in Luceti. But there was no word from the teams on her. She's been missing since the fifteenth.

She'll be back. [She repeats the words for herself to prevent herself from feeling the same.] I want to be the first to know when she's spotted.
[She's going to need help, she doesn't comment.
For now, it's Nami's party, and she moves the bags into the cottage, once again motioning to keep watch over either D brother. Even Mendez told them not to let themselves fall too much into worry or grief.]

[Nami follows Daisy in to show her the way to the bedroom.] You can just leave stuff on the bed if you like.
no subject
[She does, turning back to the girl.]
... Will it be safe there until we get it out?

[The smell could make it so. From one of the bags, neatly wrapped in tiny boxes for every slice, she offers Nami a piece of chocolate cake.
Apparently, Daisy discovered it is a thing you can actually make, so this opened endless possibilities.]
Happy birthday.
