One, for people performing in the pageant, details will be in the top comment of the subthread, but this one if for people to make direct responses to their appeals as well as to write out what they were and what they do.

Two, for general mingling during the pageant. For the judges and audience and all that jazz.

Three, for the wishes people write up for Tanabata - eighter just to note them or for people to spy on your writing them or tying them up or reacting to them once up or whatever!

Four, finally, is at the end of the night when there are fireworks being launched to go with all this stuff, for people to mingle/watch the show

Especially when it keeps switching between French and English and Chinese at random.

That's... not quite how it works, or at least not so easily.

lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

...Dude. That's a few languages.

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2012-09-24 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't it?

[But her family keeps getting bigger all the time.]
paladinlost: (surprised valkyrie)

I'm still trying to figure out where the Chinese came from. I swear I never installed that.

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-09-24 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
...Well it is, but not in any official, socially recognized manner.
lostinmyway: (Hmm?)

Maybe it's a sign you should learn the language?

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2012-09-26 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Is that important?
paladinlost: (gentle valkyrie)

I already have enough trouble with kanji, no need to add hanzi to that, really.

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-09-27 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Not most of the time, no. But when it is important it becomes very important.
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

I can't even imagine learning both at once. @_@

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2012-09-29 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm.... I wonder why.
paladinlost: (surprised valkyrie)

Too many words, not enough brain cells to recall them. @_@;;

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-09-30 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well, if something happened to you, you'd want the authorities to contact your family, would you not? So you'd need paperwork that tells them who is your family, and where they can be found if that information is available.
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

Definitely.

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2012-10-02 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. All right.

[Can you tell that all of that went winging right over her head, Cecil?]
paladinlost: (gentle valkyrie)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-10-04 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Yes, he kinda can.]

But you can still think of people as family without that.
lostinmyway: (Tender.)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2012-10-05 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
That's good. Then they can know how much you love them.
paladinlost: (smiling valkyrie)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-10-06 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I cannot think of any country that would dare to outlaw that, at least.
lostinmyway: (?)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2012-10-07 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
My, that would be very sad. I'm glad no one would do that.
paladinlost: (gentle valkyrie)

No people would accept to submit to the ruler of such a country.
