Beach Volleyball Tournament

What: Volleyball Tournament
When: July 22nd, 11am onward!
Where: The Beach!
Summary: Fun in the sun and a bit of competitive spirit! If you signed up for the volleyball tournament, be prepared to rock the house down against the opposing teams! Just there to watch? Enjoy the seats around the volleyball courts as a spectator and have a refreshing drink or some beach-side snacks! SWIMSUIT REQUIRED for everyone there. If you're found by someone in charge without one you may or may not be subject to getting mysteriously kidnapped and put in one, human or not. That's right, even chihuahuas if there are any have to at least have a cool straw hat and sunglasses.
Rating: PG-13. Please try to keep it PG-13 max and warn in the subject header for anything iffy!
When you first arrive, there will be a huge board with the brackets for the tournament on it:



{{ ooc: All of the brackets were totally randomized using RNG on random.org. Unfortunately, I don't have all of the muns memorized so if I put your character against another one of your character, PLEASE let me now ASAP and we can get that fixed! If there are no replies to a match within one week, that team will be disqualified as having not showed up, just so that we can keep going. After the first week, it will be 3 days. (The first week is to account for Otakon, since I know a lot of people are going to that.) }}

After you pass the sign, there are multiple volleyball courts set up, ref towers, lots of beach umbrellas and towels set out on the sand for viewers, and waiters and waitresses handing out drinks to anyone who comes by, courtesy of the local bars. Alcohol will only be available to those who are 18+. It's hot, too, so make sure you don't forget sunscreen!

Oh, fighting is fun, but moreso with alcohol. I was thinking more in the range of things you could do right here on the beach.

[sacrastically.] I never would have guessed. Now let's see... what do people do for fun on the beach? [He surveys some of the other activities.] Burying each other in the sand, making sand castles, tossing a ball around...

I don't see how burying people is fun, but making a sand castle sounds interesting.

There we go. Let's get started, I guess. [He stoops over in the sand and narrows his eyes.] Uh... where do we begin?

Um... I'm not sure. I've never done anything like this before. [These two are really good at this.]

It can't be that hard. I guess we just... start grabbing sand?

It'll just fall out between our fingers. May if we push the sand into a big pile and carve the castle out?

Oh, like this?

[He plunges his arms into the sand and awkardly begins shoving it forward at a slow pace.]

[STARINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.]

That looks wrong. [And stupid. Mainly stupid. She ain't doing that.]

[He pulls his arms out, now covered in sand. He makes a lethargic and primarily unsuccessful attempt to shake them clean]

Well it's closer to a pile now, I guess.

Maybe we should ask someone else how to make it. Or think of something else to do. [She doesn't want her automail full of sand.]

If we ask someone else to do it, then that'll just take the fun out of it. Uh... we can find a ball to throw around? Or... maybe we can find something to vandalize.

We can throw the ball around.

[A playful smirk.] You definitely don't know how to have fun.

[Regardless, it's no hard matter to unearth a ball that was discarded and forgotten after one team's practice, and he begins casually bopping it into the air.]

I just don't agree with your form of fun. [Which isn't fun!

She watches him, pretty unsure on what to do. Looks simple enough though.]

Only cuz you haven't tried it. You don't know the thrill that comes with breaking rules and causing trouble. [He abruptly bops the ball towards her.] Catch.

I don't see it as fun. At times it is a necessity, but nothing-

[The ball comes at her before she can finish her thought, and she quickly catches it.

She just stares at it for a moment before hitting a few times up in the air, and then back to Greed. probably a bit too hard.]

[He laughs as he catches the ball, exaggerating the catch to make it look like more of a near miss.]

You're not doing it right. Ya gotta get yourself into the right mindset.

[Greed tosses it back, more lazily this time.]

[She almost misses it too! You throw like a girl, Greed.]

That was an awful throw.
