Beach Volleyball Tournament

What: Volleyball Tournament
When: July 22nd, 11am onward!
Where: The Beach!
Summary: Fun in the sun and a bit of competitive spirit! If you signed up for the volleyball tournament, be prepared to rock the house down against the opposing teams! Just there to watch? Enjoy the seats around the volleyball courts as a spectator and have a refreshing drink or some beach-side snacks! SWIMSUIT REQUIRED for everyone there. If you're found by someone in charge without one you may or may not be subject to getting mysteriously kidnapped and put in one, human or not. That's right, even chihuahuas if there are any have to at least have a cool straw hat and sunglasses.
Rating: PG-13. Please try to keep it PG-13 max and warn in the subject header for anything iffy!
When you first arrive, there will be a huge board with the brackets for the tournament on it:



{{ ooc: All of the brackets were totally randomized using RNG on random.org. Unfortunately, I don't have all of the muns memorized so if I put your character against another one of your character, PLEASE let me now ASAP and we can get that fixed! If there are no replies to a match within one week, that team will be disqualified as having not showed up, just so that we can keep going. After the first week, it will be 3 days. (The first week is to account for Otakon, since I know a lot of people are going to that.) }}

After you pass the sign, there are multiple volleyball courts set up, ref towers, lots of beach umbrellas and towels set out on the sand for viewers, and waiters and waitresses handing out drinks to anyone who comes by, courtesy of the local bars. Alcohol will only be available to those who are 18+. It's hot, too, so make sure you don't forget sunscreen!

Well, as a practiced Kipinn user myself, I can tell you that it doesn't exactly compare to airbending. When Elicia gets excited, she doesn't shoot up nine feet in the air.

No, I get that. So what? It's her grandkid. No matter what guy this grandkid is from she's helping take care of her, right? You don't say "poor Katara" for that. Katara isn't a victim, and I don't think she'd ever want to be seen like that. Stop thinking "poor Katara," and respect her for her strength. I'm sure it's stressful being like that, but Katara is strong. Support her, don't pity her.

[Sokka opens his mouth like he ought to say something, but promptly shuts it. That was a speech that was very Katara-esque in itself. He had his own thoughts on all of those things. Which he wasn't really going to voice. Especially since he didn't exactly disagree with Winry anyway.

Being strong doesn't make it easy. [He ends up watching the waves instead. An appropriate reaction to heavy discussion.] It just means you don't buckle.

Being strong is never easy. But a situation can be more tolerable with help from family and friends. It's not like being strong has to be something you do alone.

Well. That's what I'm here for. The making-her-not-alone thing. I'm also good at trying to make tense and meaningful moments less depressing.

[Her lips tug up into a small smile. She nudges him.]

I know that. It's one of your specialties.

Yeah. [A pause.] But you probably don't need to be so hard on Haruhi. It's not like she was trying to put Katara down. I mean, when she wants to talk down about someone, it's obvious.
