Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

[ Another shaky sigh as he looks away and nods. He'll wipe at his eyes there and then to try and catch those few brief tears as they fall. ] I-I don't know what to say...

[ He swallows thickly. ] Th-thank you doesn't s-seem good enough. [ It really isn't, he knows, but what else can he possibly do? ]

Eager to avoid answering me plainly, I suppose. [Not that she's one to talk in that regard.] In any case I was... attacked, about a week ago now.

I'm not too certain, either... but I think that it's been resolved. At least, I hope it has been... what about you, Aang? Have you been all right?

There's no need to worry about me. I've been fine. I was just a little sick from some tea not so long ago, but otherwise things have been pretty quiet since that last... really weird shift. [But a bit too quiet for his liking - with the absence of Korra.] Everyone's healthy at least. I just wish I had known about this problem and could have done something to stop it.

[He holds out the hypoinjector, sort of like a needle, but it won't sting]

[ Helios lets out a small shaky sigh. Talking. Was never his best point or his most easiest to fall into. But he knows he can't do this alone. He just can't do it and he realizes that now. It hurts to admit and he hates himself for not being stronger and able to handle something like this by himself. But he knows that he has people here who care and who want to help him, for whatever reasons, and he's not sure he can push them away. ] I-I don't want t-to, to b-bother you with th-this though. N-Not anymore than I-I already have.

[ There's a small stifled sob as he shakes his head. He doesn't want to bother anyone at the moment, not after what he's done. ] I-I can't...I can't do it-

[ the admission is outright painful to admit and it clearly shows in his voice and hunched, defeated, posture. ] -I can't do it a-alone.

"Isn't it lucky for you you don't have to."

I tried to smile a bit, just to lighten the mood.

"Now, you sure I can't interest you in a drink?"

I'm a-anything but lucky, really. [ A small choked back laugh at that. Lucky isn't the best word to use. Perhaps blessed and honored to have such caring people around him. But, no, this isn't like back home he knows that. Back home he would have had to but here? Helios shakes his head. ]

I-I don't...I don't drink v-very often. [ Maybe a glass of wine once in awhile but never anything strong. He turns a little to regard Harry then for the first time they've spoken. ] I-I don't...r-really know if I-I'd be the best of c-company for that s-sort of thing. [ He can't drink tea, can he? ]

[There's a considering pause, then a nod. The worst case scenario, really, is that it wouldn't have any effect.] ... Understood. Then I'll take your word for it.

I heard about that. Can you reveal more, darling?

I think I missed most of the experiment, but I'm glad you're feeling better. [And how do you tell someone to not feel guilty for something they had no control over? Especially someone like Aang, who had a lot of pressure in himself for that already.] I understand why you'd feel like that, but don't torture yourself too much over it. There are always things beyond our control that happen, no matter how frustrating the thought can be.

[She hesitates. This is Jack, and he does seem to be in a strange mood. The last thing she wants to do is give him more reason to worry, but he's likely concerned anyway without the details.

But Raine doesn't want him to have reason to react negatively toward anyone, so there's a moment for her to sort her thoughts on how to explain the situation. ... It wasn't really that complicated.]

Someone... was possessed by a malevolent entity, and took most of my energy. From what I understand, it's all been settled, so it's not something to worry about happening again.

[That sounds........soul-hurting. Really. Maybe some soulish music will help? Jack begins to sing softly to Raine:]

[And she's just. Incredulous.

[He just...keeps going. Her soul needs it.]

[He won't have too much longer to wait. It's only been a couple of days since she woke up, but with some extra help from Luke, she's eventually given the seal of approval to finish up her recovery at home.

Sometime in the later part of the afternoon, Albert will receive a note from her about it.

They've said it's all right for me to go now.]

The food, now the songs... you seem very preoccupied.

Yeah, I... I know. After all this time here, I guess I should be getting used to it.

[Luke walks over and takes her arm gently, pressing the hypoinjector against it. It hisses gently, and in goes the medicine.]

Give it a few minutes, and eat your apple in the mean time. On an empty it may make you a bit nauseous for a minute as it takes effect.
