Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

It's not an easy thing to do, especially when so much happens here. But there are only so many battles that we can take responsibility for on our own.

[Raine gives another nod, setting the teacup aside so she can take a bite of the apple. She'll stop talking so she can focus more attention on eating, contemplating, and letting it get into her system. She already felt much better today than she had when she had first woken up, though she knew she was still a long way from being normal.]

Yes, I believe so. [Whether or not there will be lingering issues is another story... and she knows she still doesn't know the full details of what happened. But, for Aang's sake, she won't voice those thoughts.] It just takes time.

It's all right. Seeing and talking to people helps a lot. [As does food. For that matter, she finally goes to look through the little bag of goodies he brought with him.]

[He comes back to her window, clinging to the sill once more.]

[The last time Sabriel had been held like this was when she had been a child, traveling with her Father and the small band of nomads that had taken them in. She can't remember any faces, any names but she does remember the feeling of being held in warm, weathered hands and soothed of her pains and sorrows.

Sabriel watches Adele's expression carefully before letting out a soft, relieved sigh, leaning close to give the woman another squeeze.]

Thank the Charter...I didn't know...I just saw you and Red lying still and I thought the worst.

[Sabriel looks up and shakes her head, her eyes heavy as she wonders...if Saori had found her, would things be any different than they are now? Could she have been freed of Apep's influence before all of those horrors started?]

...It's not your fault Saori. You couldn't have known what he did...and Adele and Red were injured.

[They really could, just that soft chuckle is enough to make their meeting happier.]

No, it isn't my fault. It falls squarely on to Apep, and by proxy the Malnosso. However, that doesn't mean I shouldn't have checked on you. I am apologizing for being remiss in that duty, not accepting the blame for things beyond my control.

Were you gone for a while? I was on a mission a few weeks ago, myself, before this happened.

[It's around noon when Frey finally contacts Raine, hesitating for a few minutes and trying to figure out how to word his request.

He knew it was selfish- but he also knew he would do no good to help in the matter at the moment, either.]

A week or so, give or take. It was an easy job, really. Just training folk from other enclosures.

[She nods encouragingly]

[It's a strange sensation, really - it's slow and needs more time, of course, but but having that reintroduction of energy just makes that realization of how much she had lost from that attack all the more clearer, and that was... more of a scary realization than she had expected. Or maybe she hadn't truly considered it properly, since waking up -- being groggy for a while would do that.

The thought of it does make her feel a little nauseous, despite her nibbling of that apple. It's distracting, but Luke's words pull her attention back toward him.]

--Hm? Yes... I think I am, actually.

Ah, I see. I was in the mountains, where there was a lot of fighting going on. [A considering pause, and then, almost wryly:] It's ironic that I'd return from the mission mostly unscathed only to have something happen to me here.

I gave her a level look.
