Chaos Plot Reactions!

Who: Anyone/Everyone affected by Helios' nasty bout of Possession Sickness
What: Picking up the pieces
When: August 11th/12th
Where: Wherever there was bad mojo!
Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

[Rather than waltz in after he's been spotted, Sanji stills in place by the door, assessing the woman with blatant concern tugging at his expression. Shit, she's pale - more than he expected, and not for the first time does he wonder what could have done this to her. He doesn't know the details, after all; only that she was sick, and needed rest.

At least she's awake. That's a comfort Sanji eagerly embraces, and so he smiles when he finally makes his way into the room] Aa. I just came by to see how you were doing.

N-No! No you, you d-don't have to do that. [ He might sound a bit hard in his conviction, whoops. He did not mean for that. ] Y-You're still...r-recovering. I, I can do it later.

[ He doesn't want you to push yourself bro, not on his behalf, especially not on his behalf. ]

[She looks over at the girl, a sad expression forming on her face. Had she said something wrong? Was the truth bad?]

I'm walking you home. I just wanted to talk to you.

[Saori shakes her head, knowing exactly what's running through Sabriel's head]

I truly am sorry, and...I want to help you get better. I do feel that I have wronged you, and I owe you.

[She ducks her head, suddenly struck by deja vu of when she had been chastised by her teacher for lighting the headmistress's rose bush on fire with a wayward spell.]

...Then how do you cope? How do you look at the people you care about, that you've hurt...knowing that what would have happened to them would have been worse than death if you hadn't been stopped?

"Sure I do. When a guy moves, his guy friends are obligated to help lift furniture and move boxes. It's the Code."

Oh, don't say that. Izanagi-sama has been around since the creation of time, and he's still strong.

[She shrugs]

The lesser gods are the ones weakened. Spirits of trees and rivers, things torn away by progress.

[He shrugs. Not really knowing what to say. Common treatments were not so common here]

I should be going though, I need to find Sabriel and Alia. I'll see you tonight.

Good. That means its working.

[Luke takes a bite out of an apple of his own and nods]

How did he come to attack you? I...am sorry, but I'm trying to piece together information so I know what occurred in my absence.

But I know that I helped to stop him, and that if I hadn't? Things might have gotten out of hand. And if you hadn't intervened, when you did, Adele and Lupin wouldn't be alive right now. Or if they were, they'd wish they weren't."

... And suddenly I realized that I was talking to her the same way I do to Molly, when there's something she needs to hear.

Weird. I think this whole mentor gig was starting to rub off on me.

I see... I'm sorry to hear that. [She knows that Mithos has a connection to the girl as well, and the thought that comes to her is a very worrying one.]

....I told him before anyone else. I did not wish to risk the news getting back to him through other means. I doubt he would have reacted to the extreme Martel's departure had affected him, but I needed to be certain he would not act out.

[He was well aware there were risks that could come with such a thing being handled badly.]

[ A wince and some more hunching from Helios. He's not...going to stop you is he? A small laugh. ] I-I never, um, h-heard of it.

[ He shakes his head and just...resigns himself to getting help. It's not much to carry at least for now. Just a lot of books and some ingredients for potions and things. Helios frowns and looks over back at Harry. ] Y-You don't have to. It's...really not a lot of th-things.

I need to get in touch with the people who showed interest at the mage group meeting and arrange a time for the next step. This...should be the last one.

[Sabriel is still going to keep an eye out for you Adele, but yes, your like was successful. Lips curling in a weak smile Sabriel huffs a soft chuckle as Adele tugs on a lock of her hair.]

That would probably be a good idea. And...I wonder if there's anything I can do for my wings. They feel sensitive.

[Understandably so, they were set on fire a couple of times, but who knows if they needed specialized treatment.]

Good. I think its something we should do very, very soon.

[A sad smile]

I'd rather have your Free Magic contained as much as possible. And I want your Charter Magic to return.

[You shouldn't be apologizing to her, Saori, you banished Apep from Helios and saved them all. You did what she could not. Pulling away from that train of thought Sabriel frowns faintly up at the woman.]

I would rather use it only for its intended purpose; laying the Dead to their proper rest.

[Really, Sabriel is just as eager to get her Charter magic back as you are Rei.]

When I get the Charter established here, there's a possibility that I might be able to teach it to others.

[Saori returns the frown]

How? I failed you. I should offer some recompense, should I not? Otherwise...you...will be angry with me, yes?

Really? That's interesting.

[She had given it her all and there is nothing more she could have done. It's a rattling throw back to when Sabriel had been scratching up her hands trying to carve that memorial for her father. She had failed him; she had done her best and it wasn't enough. Bitter tears start to gather in her eyes and she hastily brushes them away, sagging lower against the wall as the rest of his words start to sink in.

If what happened to her was the price to be paid for saving Adele and Lupin's lives...would she have chosen to act differently?

...no, she wouldn't have.

It's just...frustrating. And it still hurts.

The baptism is simple, it's more a matter of whether the Charter accepts the person or not.

[Tilting her head thoughtfully she considers that fact, as well as a couple of others.]

Your magic and mine have proved compatible before...if you wish it, you might be able to learn Charter magic here.

N-No, not like that- And...no, I won't be angry with you Saori. In my perspective you haven't wronged me but I was just...curious to know...how you might try to help me.

[Her voice actually sounds pretty excited. That would be a really useful skill. Magic...that wasn't part of Sailor Mars? Wow]

I had been leaving the flower shop for the day - it was a day or two after I came back from the mission. He was nearby, and greeted me. [There's a pause, she shifts a little as the fresh energy begins to spread more evenly.] We didn't speak for very long-it was long enough to tell that he wasn't himself, but not enough to get away. [The encounter is still a little hazy in her mind, some parts clearer and some points not.] He was very insistent on wanting to take my... power, so he went after me.

Oh, um. Well...I can bake you something. Or...I can help you recover from your ordeal, with music, or a blessing, or any number of things. Or...I suppose I can just...be your friend. If you want that.
