Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

[There's something undeniably comforting at the feeling of someone working gently with one's hair, and Sabriel can't help but sink a little deeper into the chair as Adele starts to hum. It was a vaguely familiar tune by now, something she had often heard from the older woman when they would cook together.]

What song is that?

[ He doesn't know how to respond to that besides a small choked back sob. He shakes his head as he moves away. ] Y-You have e-every right t-to be.

[ Because Apep had almost hurt her. ]

[She only watches him for now, now genuinely confused.]

[He nods a little, able to understand. After all, that's largely why he took on the job of running Seventh Heaven.]

But what about when school starts? [A grumble] Vash better be helping you out! Isn't he another one of the owners?

He does his fair share, don't worry. [Although at the moment she isn't aware of his being kidnapped and aged beyond recognition. That'll make the time she eventually is able to work again a little more busy than usual.] I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out. ... I still need to find new teachers for the school as well.

[concasse]

... Raine-chan, you sound busier than I do.

[wise_maiden]

I don't mind being occupied. [Like now, for instance. Keeping her eyes open is beginning to be a struggle, however.] ... Honestly, I find it more difficult when I'm unable to do much at all.

[concasse]

[That being something Sanji readily understands, his grins at her again, albeit sadly]

You must be bored out of your mind here.

My options are still a bit limited. [It's meant to be wry, but there's a slight glance to some nearby books that have been too straining to even read for too long. That's a tragedy right there.] It'll get better, though, so don't you worry.

[Obi-Wan does not withdraw the mental or physical contact when the pain fades. When he finally speaks, it's quietly, into her hair.]

"... I would be willing to resume our meditative training whenever it is convenient for you. And... I would feel much more comfortable if you would take this label. As a measure of protection."

[There's no reaction, at first, but eventually there's some register of a change, as she moves her head to the side, blinking blearily.]

[It's something they haven't done in some time- not as themselves. It's an embrace that is familiar to Levarre, that had been somewhat familiar before Levarre ever existed. Adele's not certain she should take as much comfort in this as she does. She's also certain that at the moment- she doesn't care.]

I think...I. [She closes her eyes and sighs.] When I can stand to be in the house again I would like to move into forty six. It will be easier to do so then and...I'll keep the label.

[... Very reassured. Perhaps surprisingly so.]

[She was right - it's hard to stop once you get going. Sheena has her eyes shut in concentration. When she hears Raine talking, she starts to let go, halting the flow of mana with a very stubborn order to herself.]

[She raises herself a little to gather something for hot chocolate -- an act too easy for her liking.]

[She steps in front of him again, wanting to see his face and trying to catch his eye.]

[She holds out her hand to him, wanting him to take it. Hoping he will.]

[She murmurs after one of the verses before sliding into singing with a low rasp to her voice. It was warm and familiar, and the lather took to Sabriel's hair in a thick froth. None of it dripped, which saved her the trouble of cleaning up.]

I suppose we shall both simply have to take steps to bicker less.
