Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

[He shakes his head]

What happened?

He screamed at you? Ch. [She pinches the bridge of her nose and sips her tea.]

...Helios was possessed by a god of chaos.

[His voice is low]

What happened to you. You look like you met a Gundark in a dark alley.

I...[She feels one start to come on and bites her tongue, slams her eyes shut and waits it out. Less of a vision of a grisly death and more a reminder of what lurked in the dark. Things much, much worse than a Gundark. Outwardly she's a tense, ragged, exhausted mess. Inwardly there's a spike of terror that simmers into worn fury once her eyes slip open.]

...I'm not entirely certain how to explain.

[He opens his mouth to reply, but stops as a feeling of dread washes between them. It hits him. Her mind. That...ugly, noxious patch of darkness.]

You don't have to. You haven't slept in days, have you?

[fleurdesel]

It's worse at night.

[Because it's not just the visions, then. It's the quiet and the dark and everything just sent her back to those sixty seconds or however long it was Apep held her.]

...A few hours, here and there. I've a cot at the clinic in my office. But a whole night? No.

I can fix that.

[His voice is steady, unwavering.]

Morichro. If you remember that word.

...the force induced coma? [A gross simplification and not at all the proper connotation, but from what very little she can call to mind at the moment, it's the best way she can think to phrase it.]

[He nods]

I will induce it and pull you out. It will be good for you.

[She's desperate for sleep. She's gone as long as she can with snatches here and there, a few hours full of horrors of Apep's making. A dreamless sleep would be more than welcome- but where?]

I'll go mad if I keep on like this.

[There is a bit of steel underlying his tone. He's angry. Probably at himself]

How long was he not himself?

[Best not to argue then- unless he takes her back to that damn house. Then, teacher or no, she will argue the point.

It's unlikely that he'll take care of it there, however.]

I don't know all the details but...no less than two, and no more than three days.

I understand he was stopped, and the possessing spirit sealed. Where is he now?

[A long time, for a dark god to be on the loose. Though the word...loses something when he thinks on it]

...I do not know. We spoke, briefly, not long ago but. He wanted space. He's ashamed of what happened and I cannot force my company on him if all it will do is remind him of Apep's actions.

[Luke takes a sip from his teacup]

Do you have words for me, as well?

[fleurdesel]

No. You couldn't have known. No one could have seen this coming, not without a shift- and not from Helios. There is no one here to blame but the Malnosso.

[She sighs and sips her tea, before looking back up to Luke.]

Have you settled that which caused you to leave?

I've sensed the darkness in him before. Grandmaster Sunrider did as well. We should have said something.

[And his eyes narrow at that, taking a much more formal tone.]

I have made my peace with my father's disappearance. Ami will return in time. And I am too tired to continue fighting.

[fleurdesel]

...that was phrased poorly.

[Her shoulders slump and she pinches the bridge of her nose.]

I meant to ask if you are settled. If your frustrations and distress are no longer so prevalent. If you have had the time to find your peace. I will be the last person to fault you for this.

I have managed to work out my frustration, yes. I've found an outlet in Vaapad.

[He shrugs and looks at her.]

Look. I wasn't trying to run.

I know you weren't. You needed something to help you focus, yes?

[A beat. Wait. Vapaad?]

...that is more aggressive than your usual style.

Sometimes, frustration can be a source of knowledge and a wellspring of strength. It's helped me pull out my inner troubles, and turn them into something useful.

Kyle knows the style well, but its the only form I've put no time into learning.

I do not remember much of it- Levarre's notes were lacking on what she felt I would not be able to learn. Other than knowing it was employed by Master Windu and that it is performed while channeling one's aggression in battle, I don't know the details.

[But if Luke felt it would help him to learn this? She sees nothing wrong in it.]

Levarre was correct, it was Master Windu's style. And that is also the truth. Its good, to have an outlet here.
