Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

[Grune is nothing if not resilient. Though she spent the day after receiving the news that Helios had been brought back to himself in a somewhat quieter mood than usual, that and some residual aches and pains from getting tackled by Viral were the only signs that she had been affected by what had happened.

By now, she's entirely back to normal. Her friends are not, however, and so that means she still has work to do.

Grune spends a good portion of the 11th baking, and by mid-afternoon, she has her results: two double-layer cakes decorated with green icing. One is destined for House 44, and the other is to be shared around with Rei, Saori, and Lupin, as well as anyone else she finds who needs some good old-fashioned sweets therapy.]

[Rei has opened up all the doors and windows of House 3, and is sweeping up and cleaning out the mess she'd made when Sailor Mars had lost her temper. Charred books, singed furniture, and more than a bit of ash were being removed from the house and cleaned.

She pauses for a moment when she sees Grune approaching, bowing politely to the woman who'd helped her save Sabriel]

Good afternoon, Grune-san.

[lostinmyway]

[Grune bows back as best she can with a cake in hand, then smiles.]

Good afternoon, Rei. Are you having a nice day?

[faithfulflame]

I am doing well.

[She pauses for a moment. Grune...was clearly very odd, but she had seen Rei shift from Mars, so it was worth investigating.]

Grune-san, I have a question. Do you...remember what happened after we saved Sabriel-san?

[lostinmyway]

Hmm....

[Grune spends a while sorting through the events in her mind. Everything had seemed to happen all at once that night, and after healing Viral and then walking home, the exhaustion she'd felt had clouded her memory. Time has only increased her uncertainty.

After a long moment, she says:] Yes, I looked after Viral and you looked after Sabriel.

[She frowns slightly after saying that. When had Rei gotten there? She can't quite remember.

Or had she been there all along?]

[faithfulflame]

[Ok, whew. Secret's safe!]

Right. OK, so you are remembering things clearly. [...quite a lie]

How has your recovery been? You looked very, very tired.

[lostinmyway]

Oh, I'm all right. I had a nice long rest when I got home. [She probably scared her housemates with how long she hibernated, actually.]

How are you feeling?

[faithfulflame]

I'm not bad. A little tired, but otherwise I'm feeling well.

[Despite the fact that her shoulder has a big bandage on it!]

I'm glad you're well. That...was a trying experience.

[lostinmyway]

I'm glad we were able to save Viral and Sabriel. And I'm glad Helios was saved, too. [It doesn't matter that, in the end, she hadn't been able to do anything for him. The important part is that he's all right now.

And it's only just at this moment that she remembers the cake in her hands.] Oh! Rei, would you like a piece of cake?

[faithfulflame]

Oh, I'd love some. What kind is it?

Hmm.... Let me see.

[Grune, didn't you actually bake the cake yourself?]

[faithfulflame]

[Rei waits patiently, expecting this]

[lostinmyway]

[...Except that's actually a bad strategy, because the longer she thinks, the farther away she mentally gets from the topic at hand. Whoops.]

[faithfulflame]

Grune-san. What sort of cake is it?

[She's on to you!]

[lostinmyway]

[And back to Planet Luceti she comes.]

Oh, I don't know. We should find out.

[faithfulflame]

Yes. We should.

[Waiting patiently]

Why don't you try a piece? Then we'll know for sure!

[Well, that's one way to approach the problem.]

Sure. But you should too.

[She shakes her head.]

Oh, that's all right. I can make another cake to eat a little later. This one is for everyone else.

[faithfulflame]

[Rei shrugs and takes the cake from Grune before she can forget. Its some manner of chocolate she thinks]

Well, thank you Grune-san.

[She beams at her.]

You're welcome! I hope you like it very much.
