Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

[With Ami still gone, Luke has begun to work in the clinic himself to alleviate the burden on the other doctors. He's a skilled healer, and wants to do whats right, now that he's done running. He's rather surprised, however, to see Raine Sage lying in bed with some light injuries. After their recent mission together, Luke can also feel that a lot of her life force is weaker, drained, and much less vibrant than normal.

So, he does the best he can, and wanders into her room carrying a tray of tea and fruit, and a small needle with a stim he'd created specifically to help recover from severe Force drainage at home. It wasn't hard to recreate, since its all simple chems readily available in the clinic. It should help revitalize her a little bit.]

Hello Raine. I've got some medicine for you, and something to eat.

[Raine had been dozing lightly before he entered the room, but at the sound of the door, she opens her her eyes, trying to get a better look at her visitor. The voice, at least, helps her identify him almost immediately.]

Hm...? Oh, Luke, it's you. Thank you.

[He enters, and sets the tray down on next to the bed]

Read in the treatment log that you got drained somehow. What happened?

... I was attacked. I know that the person responsible was being possessed, but... I don't know what's become of them by now.

Raine, was it Helios?

[Luke holds up a teacup for her]

Drink this. It'll help.

[wise_maiden]

[Raine will first try and sit herself up a little better before accepting the tea, though she's quiet for the moment until she's in a better position to accept it.

And she'll answer, once she's managed a sip.]

... yes. He wasn't himself; that was very clear.

So I heard.

[He holds out an apple, this time using the Force to float it over, so he can take a seat. It'll bob there until she's ready]

Was it this Apep creature possessing him that drained you?

He didn't give a name, but... yes, that's probably what it was. [She's not ready to try snacking on the apple just yet -- mostly because the topic of conversation isn't helping to revive her appetite just yet -- but she'll reach for it so it doesn't have to float out there any longer than it has to.] Thank you.

That is what I was told by Lupin. Apep. Some Chaos god.

[He nods, acknowledging her thanks]

I've got something that may help. A medicine I synthesized from home. I use it to recover from severe Force drain, it'll help you recover faster.

Oh? It might not hurt to try it, if it'll help me get out of bed sooner. [She tilts her head.] Does it have any side effects?

Not that I'm aware of.

[He holds out the hypoinjector, sort of like a needle, but it won't sting]

I've used it myself.

[wise_maiden]

[There's a considering pause, then a nod. The worst case scenario, really, is that it wouldn't have any effect.] ... Understood. Then I'll take your word for it.

[Luke walks over and takes her arm gently, pressing the hypoinjector against it. It hisses gently, and in goes the medicine.]

Give it a few minutes, and eat your apple in the mean time. On an empty it may make you a bit nauseous for a minute as it takes effect.

[Raine gives another nod, setting the teacup aside so she can take a bite of the apple. She'll stop talking so she can focus more attention on eating, contemplating, and letting it get into her system. She already felt much better today than she had when she had first woken up, though she knew she was still a long way from being normal.]

[Luke can actually visibly see the color returning to her cheeks though. It's helping some, for sure]

How's that? Feeling a bit warmer now?

[It's a strange sensation, really - it's slow and needs more time, of course, but but having that reintroduction of energy just makes that realization of how much she had lost from that attack all the more clearer, and that was... more of a scary realization than she had expected. Or maybe she hadn't truly considered it properly, since waking up -- being groggy for a while would do that.

The thought of it does make her feel a little nauseous, despite her nibbling of that apple. It's distracting, but Luke's words pull her attention back toward him.]

--Hm? Yes... I think I am, actually.

Good. That means its working.

[Luke takes a bite out of an apple of his own and nods]

How did he come to attack you? I...am sorry, but I'm trying to piece together information so I know what occurred in my absence.

I had been leaving the flower shop for the day - it was a day or two after I came back from the mission. He was nearby, and greeted me. [There's a pause, she shifts a little as the fresh energy begins to spread more evenly.] We didn't speak for very long-it was long enough to tell that he wasn't himself, but not enough to get away. [The encounter is still a little hazy in her mind, some parts clearer and some points not.] He was very insistent on wanting to take my... power, so he went after me.

Oh dear. And, then you fell. I wonder, why did he not...

[Luke trails off, leaving it unstated. He didn't want to bring up the possibility that she could have died]

And had you seen Helios recently, before this incident?

[wise_maiden]

[She almost thought that she had, when everything went dark. Waking up here had been very disorienting.]

Yes, in passing, mostly. With school not in session we see each other less frequently.

Ah, and he hadn't seemed different then? I...have been away with Master Kenobi since we returned from our mission.

[wise_maiden]

[She takes another small bite of the apple while she tries to focus for more details.]

It might have been a couple of weeks before we went on our mission, actually. But... he seemed like himself, when I saw him before this. During the attack, he was very obviously different - his eyes were red, and there was this shadow behind him. It looked like a very large snake.

So, its something recent then.

[Luke scratches his chin]

I wonder what the catalyst was. I know it wasn't Helios' doing, but I somehow doubt the Malnosso were involved.

He... did say something strange, now that I think of it. But I don't remember... what it was exactly.
