Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

I don't know for certain. We didn't talk very long before the attack, and... [She shakes her head slightly.]

[corrinesbell]

It's okay. I just figured I'd ask.

[She makes a handwave at the door, which is still partially open.] They said your biggest problem was being drained of energy. D'you want some?

[wise_maiden]

Hm? [It takes a moment to process just what Sheena is asking.] ... Maybe some gels might help. I tried eating a little breakfast, but my appetite isn't at it's best.

[corrinesbell]

Am I gonna be able to get some of those?

[That also wasn't what she was asking - gels. She's pretty sure Raine knew that.]

It'd be easier to just lend you mana if that's what you need.

[wise_maiden]

... I... [She knew that. Hence her facial expression.]

You know that I can't ask you to that. But... thank you, all the same.

[corrinesbell]

You don't have to ask. I asked so you wouldn't need to ask.

[wise_maiden]

I know... I know why you asked. It's just -- it's dangerous for you to do. You know that.

[corrinesbell]

Well it's not like I'd go and do what Yuan did! It's just a little bit. And I'm not tired or hurt or anything.

[wise_maiden]

... It's not easy to stop once you start. [Her eyes seem to have more and more trouble staying open for longer periods of time.] Besides, its nice to think of you as being healthy for once. [That was a weak tease.]

[corrinesbell]

Yeah, now if we could both get there at the same time I think maybe the barrier would crack, or something.

...Look, you're already tired. Want me to stay?

[wise_maiden]

... Please. At least, for a little while. [She doesn't know how long she'll end up sleeping for if she falls asleep, or what her sleep will be like.]

[corrinesbell]

Sure. As long as you don't start snoring.

[wise_maiden]

... well. I do appreciate it, Sheena. [A faint smile, while she tries to get comfortable.]

[corrinesbell]

You want another blanket or anything?

[wise_maiden]

... Please. [Warmth is one of those things that isn't on her side right now.]

[corrinesbell]

Okay. Be right back.

[Because there are no spare blankets in this room. So she'll go out to the hall and find one or two.]

[wise_maiden]

[Raine nods, and turns back on her side to try and curl up more comfortably under the blanket she has while she waits for Sheena to return. It's taken a lot of effort to keep up the conversation, so she's fine with a few quiet moments for herself, as she tries to think. Really, waking up the first day was the harder part--putting pieces together and making realizations had taken their time. In some ways, it was frightening, but perhaps not in the ways she would admit to herself.]

[corrinesbell]

[The ninja returns with not one but two spare blankets, opening one to spread over Raine completely and leaving the other folded in half just over her feet.]

Anything else?

[wise_maiden]

Not that I can think of right now. [Maybe later she'll think to ask for some fresh clothing, or a book, but she doesn't want too much brought to the clinic. Only enough for immediate comfort and possible boredom alleviating.] Thank you again.

[corrinesbell]

If you say thank you one more time I'm gonna cover your face with a blanket. It's not a big deal and you'd do the same stuff for me. You'd just frown a lot more with that worry look.

Now go back to sleep, you can't even keep your eyes open.

[wise_maiden]

Haha. I suppose you have me there. [But there's a faint apologetic smile before she finally lets her eyes close properly.]

[corrinesbell]

I can win an argument sometimes too, y'know.

[Just...not often. Sheena waits a while, until she's sure Raine is in fact asleep, before thinking about mana again. Would she notice, unconscious like that?]

[wise_maiden]

[For now she seems deeply asleep--she does tire too easily, when all is said and done, though she may not be sleeping entirely well, either. Cold, pale, and with the tenseness that harsh dreams bring.

This isn't the first time that Sheena would have witnessed her sleeping like that.]

[corrinesbell]

[Still cold? They were taking good care of her here, right? Like shouldn't whoever her doctor was know that this was going on?

That's why she's staying, and that's why about five minutes later she makes the decision to do the mana thing anyway. Just a little bit.]

[wise_maiden]

[There's no reaction, at first, but eventually there's some register of a change, as she moves her head to the side, blinking blearily.]

... Sheena, no... what are you doing?
