Prescribed Recreation part 3: Chillax'n with a Vengeance

Who: House 44, House 46, House 3, Saori, Steve Rogers, and whoever wanders in
What: Movie night on the beach
When: September 9th, in the evening
Where: The Beach
Summary: After an unfortunate tussle with a Chaos God, work on a farm, a swarm of refugees and stress piled upon stress, sometimes all anyone wants is to sit back and watch classic movies.
Rating: PG for possible adult language
Something that everyone could agree on was this: the past three weeks had been several shades of stressful. What they needed, what they all needed was something mindless and relaxing shared in the company of those they care for in a neutral environment. The beach works well enough, and it's not that far a trip for anyone involved.

Yes that's right! All different flavors, they're quite popular in my own world. Especially the caramel and cheese varieties.

[ Helios watches with a wry smile, he notes how happy Luminair and Sabriel and that makes his own disposition just a bit brighter. He'll look over at the offered tea cup, knowing it was Sabriel's silent way of giving it to him. So he'll pick it up and take a sip at he continues to watch the two of them. Luminair gives a happy chirp as he licks Sabriel's face. A little contented purr erupts from him as he nuzzles Sabriel happily. ]

He's been a bit happy to get out. I've afraid I've had him cooped up a bit more than usual. [ Though they were still going on their afternoon and evening walks. ] He has quite the bit of energy lately.

They sound delicious, you'll have to show me how to make them one of these days- oh- Luminair-

[Muffling a soft laugh as Luminair licks her face she can't help but hug the little dragon tight. He might not be able to speak just yet but he felt more like a baby brother than a true pet; he was just so sensitive to the people around him. Perhaps it was Luminair brightness that kept the memory of Apep's shadow at bay whenever she and Helios met these days. With a creature so happy and jubilantly alive so close, it was impossible for something so dark as the Chaos god to be near.

She was glad that Helios had Luminair for company. After all he'd been through, he could use more of that brightness in his life.]

I don't know if it's just because he's so excited but he seems bigger than I remember.

[ Helios laughs as he watches the two of them. Luminair has helped a great deal in fighting off the darkness of Apep. He is just so full of life and light and happiness that Helios can't help but smile when he watches him. Luminair is very, very, important to him and the people around him too.

Helios tilts his head at Sabriel's words. ]
He is growing, a bit faster than I expected. But...I think I know what kind of dragon he is. His curling horns and eyes should have been clue enough from the b-beginning. But, ah, well I didn't want to make assumptions.

Oh? What kind of dragon is he?

[Now that Helios mentions it she can see that the little dragon's horns are starting to curl. If Luminair will hold still for a bit she'll happily give his chin a nice scratch.]

Aurora Dracoluminatis. They're a type of...celestial dragon. They have, um, bioluminescent scales that glow at night. M-Many people mistake them for stars. The shifting color of their eyes directly represents their, um, mood. Something like a mood ring actually. Legend has it that they came from the dragon Tianlong. [ Luminair purrs at the scratching letting out a content, happy, little chirp. His eyes closing tiredly as he curls up a little in Sabriel's lap. ]

I've never seen one before back home, they're quite secretive and shy. But Luminair isn't like that at all. [ A laugh. It's probably because he's been around so many people from day one. ]

[There are a few terms that...well, honestly they fly right over her head. Sabriel had no idea what a mood ring was, or what significance the 'Tianlong' dragon held but as she glances down at the sleepy dragon she can't help but wonder a little. Even know, if you squinted your eyes it might appear as though she were holding a ball of the night sky.]

I suppose its hard to be shy when constantly meeting new people and being so universally loved.

[ Helios looks down at Luminair's curled up form as well. His smile gets just a little bit brighter at seeing him like that. ]

It certainly is. He's...had a very loving upbringing s-so he's more aware and used to human interaction than most of his kind. [ There's another chuckle when Luminair stretches a little and lets out a tiny yawn. ] You've helped him a great deal and so has Adele and everyone else. He could probably use a friend, another dragon maybe, hm?

There are no dragons in my home world so this has been a real treat.

[Smiling as the dragon gets comfortable she rubs a finger affectionately under the little thing's chin. The thought of another baby dragon around is actually a pretty nice one, so long as the two of them get along. Then again they would be so little still that it would be easy for them to become fast friends.]

Perhaps he could. And...you know if you needed any help in taking care of a second I'd be happy to do so, right?
folklorist: (Yes I do agree with that)

Oh, really? Are there no mystical creatures in your world?

[ It was strange to hear. Necromancy existing but no creatures like dragons about. Perhaps it's because Helios has just connected occult things like that to one another for most of his life. Other worlds were vastly different than his own, and then some not so much. Luminair lets out a contented little purr and then a yawn, which flashes his sharp but small teeth. ]

Oh I wouldn't doubt that at all. Babysitting dragons...that would be a rather fun job. I think you'd be first on my list to help out, Sabriel. [ Helios will stroke Luminair's back softly as he regards the little one again with a looks of affection and utter adoration. ]

There are, but none of them are the sort to get along with people.

[Which is putting things very, very lightly. What mystical creatures exist in her world all feed off of people one way or another. Be it their blood, their Life force, their cadavers...not really the sort of things you'd go out of your way to look for.]

Thank you Helios.
