Prescribed Recreation part 3: Chillax'n with a Vengeance

What: Movie night on the beach

Where: The Beach
Summary: After an unfortunate tussle with a Chaos God, work on a farm, a swarm of refugees and stress piled upon stress, sometimes all anyone wants is to sit back and watch classic movies.
Rating: PG for possible adult language
Something that everyone could agree on was this: the past three weeks had been several shades of stressful. What they needed, what they all needed was something mindless and relaxing shared in the company of those they care for in a neutral environment. The beach works well enough, and it's not that far a trip for anyone involved.

[Once everything is set up, the chairs and tables arranged and the food set out Adele takes to wandering a slow circuit around the prepared area. Playing the part of the hostess has become easier to her the longer she's in the village, it no longer bothers her as much as it had in her own world. She makes a point to greet everyone as they arrive as best she can and wanders over to Saori's side, applauding.]

[Saori looks up and beams at her friend, glad for the applause. She sets down the shamisen and turns to Adele with a wide grin. She's definitely pleased that her pupil was listening]

I'm glad that you liked it, Del-chan. I played that one for you, for taking care of me.

I couldn't very well leave you with no where to stay, Saori.

[She settles next to the storm goddess, looping her arms around her knees.]

You could've. But you'd have regretted it

[She leaves it unstated that it would've probably killed her]

Do you have any musical requests, or would you like to talk? You appear to have something on your mind my dear.

No I really...couldn't have. I promised that I wouldn't let you come to harm were I able to prevent it, more or less. I keep my promises.

[She shakes off the thought of abandoning Saori, the consequences it would have held.]

I had a request but..I. Am trying to sort out how it is I should phrase something I'd wish to tell someone.

[windandrain]

[Well, if she'd made it through and you broke your promise...she'd have pugged your rug, Adele. And there wasn't any way you could prevent it!]

Its good to know, that you'll be there for me when I need you. I'm sorry if I was troublesome.

[She raises an eyebrow]

Not at all. I've had much more argumentative patients before that I didn't like nearly as much.

...So I should walk up to Ben and simply tell him that I have romantic feelings for him?

[She stops, strokes her chin delicately, and considers what to say]

Yes. Yes you should. Why haven't you? And who is Ben?

[A soft laugh.]

Truly? That seems terribly direct. I have not because I'm...not certain that it is wise to have a romantic relationship in this place.

[Adele leans back on one hand, stretching a bit to the side to point to the wandering Jedi not too far in the distance.]

That is Ben.

If you can be happy, even here, why not embrace it?

[Its all she says before looking at Obi-Wan.]

You...like Hige-san? My, I hadn't thought you the type.

I've ever been wary of my potential happiness. It's not smart, but it's true.

[She blinks, Frowns. Looks back over to Saori.]

...Hige...san?

Take your chances. As they say in America, roll the dice!

[She giggles]

It means beardy.

[It's hard to keep a straight face. So. She doesn't. Adele breaks into a very small fit of laughter.]

Do you like the beard? I imagine kissing him would tickle quite a bit!

...I honestly do not know if I would kiss him. Not because I wouldn't wish to do so but he is a part of a chaste order and I would rather respect that as best I'm able and...

[windandrain]

I think you'll kiss him. [She interrupts, raising a hand]

He'll want you to, and chaste monks are such droll individuals.

I...honestly have no idea. I know I would want to- it's been a long while since I was last in a romantic relationship of my own choosing but I am physical demonstrative.

[It wasn't for her, wasn't even for this situation, but what one Harry Blackstone said months ago comes to mind all too easily.

She could be inclined to agree.]

He'll want it. I know he will. Don't worry, he'll fall for you. All you have to do is talk to him, Del=chan.

With that vote of confidence and the charm Rei gave me, I don't know why I've anything to worry about.

I hope you don't start calling him that to his face. I don't know what he'll make of it.

I don't know him. But if he talks to me, I may just.

[Were she drinking anything, Adele would have choked. Instead she sputters and goes pink, blinking over at Saori.
